During the Metaverse Interviews, both interviewers and job seekers will use VR goggles

Interviews are conducted in a 3D office space recreated online, with no restrictions on name, age, educational background, or gender, with the aim of hiring candidates with an emphasis on their inner selves and their engineering aptitude

In recent years, many companies have begun conducting online interviews for new graduate recruitment. This has the advantage of attracting talent from rural areas and reducing travel time and expenses, and there are also increasing cases of candidates being offered a job without ever visiting the office. Furthermore, in recent years, in order to respect the diversity of job seekers, it has become important to avoid asking questions related to privacy and to conduct selection without filtering by factors such as educational background or gender

Why incorporate the "Metaverse" into new graduate recruitment?

To date, Beyond has been working on new online recruitment methods every year, such as "Online Game Company Information Sessions," "Novel Game Company Guides," "Virtual Interviews," and "Internship RPG Games."

In particular, the "virtual interviews" for new graduates held in March 2022 were conducted in a flat, unbiased manner with the aim of getting to know the students' personalities, and several students have been offered positions for the 2023 graduate recruitment. Age, gender, and educational background were not taken into consideration, and several people who passed the application form advanced to the first interview, with both the interviewer and the students using avatars during the interview

"We were able to get a deeper understanding of the inner workings and experiences of job-seekers without being constrained by external factors, and we also incorporated unique evaluation methods that have never been used before, such as communication methods that differ from regular interviews and creative use of avatars. With this in mind, by using the metaverse as a selection method this time, we hope to be able to meet students who are highly interested in the IT industry and have a strong desire to become engineers."

The only information Beyond obtains from job seekers in Metaverse interviews is their nickname and email address. During the interview, questions are primarily based on the applicant's anecdotes written on their application form, and the interviewer delves deeper into their personality

Instead of wearing a suit, candidates can wear an online avatar of their choice and express their individuality in a realistic, immersive virtual office that exists in the 3D space of the Metaverse. ・There are no restrictions on the tools you can use.
・Only those who pass the selection process will be given instructions on how to install tools recommended by Beyond.

*You will be notified separately after your application regarding how to connect for the Metaverse interview.
If you find it difficult to prepare the necessary environment, we can also rent VR goggles or conduct a virtual interview using a 2D avatar.
