What is "City Trial Japan"?
City Trial Japan is Japan's only urban bike trial competition , where participants compete to see who can ride their motorcycles the longest on a course with complex elevation changes and slopes.
There are over several thousand riders competing in Japan. Among them, riders are divided into classes (licenses) according to the level of their skills, and there are only about 20 riders nationwide who hold the highest license, the "International A Super Class," which is equivalent to the World Championships. This is a sport that can be enjoyed not only for the difficulty of the course, but also for the skill of the riders who overcome it
The first event, "City Trial Japan 2018 in OSAKA," was held in 2018 in the Tsutenkaku Hondori Shopping Arcade, overlooking Tsutenkaku Tower, Osaka's most iconic landmark. It was the first urban trial race in Asian motorsports history, and the second event, held at the end of April 2019, moved to Expo Commemoration Park and attracted a total of 9,000 spectators, far surpassing the previous event
This year, the event will be held in an even larger venue than last year, and will be even larger in scale, with Beyond backing the tournament as a sponsor
