Supplementary information about this service
About our opening support
We are an authorized distributor of the communication services provided by China Unicom. We can support you in setting up SIM cards for China Unicom HK
〇 For support regarding plan changes, additions, operation methods, etc. after the initial setup support (after purchasing your first SIM), please contact your carrier directly via their website or app.
* After the initial setup support (after purchasing your first SIM), we do not provide support as an intermediary.
〇 Although remote support is the norm for setting up an account, we can also have our staff accompany you to the local carrier's store in China.
〇 This is a direct contract with the customer who actually purchases the SIM and implements the installation support. We do not accept projects in which we are in a position to act as a subcontractor or subcontractor.
Regarding real name registration (real name authentication) on passports
○ To open a SIM card, you will need to send us a copy of your ID (passport) and have your real name registered (authenticated) by the carrier. If you are unable to provide a copy of your passport, we will be unable to open or sign a contract for the SIM card.
○ Depending on the results of the real-name authentication review by the telecommunications carrier, you may not be able to open or sign up for a SIM card.
○ In principle, the SIM contract name will be a direct contract between the customer and the telecommunications carrier.
About SIM usage
〇 This card is suitable for use in daily life and work in Hong Kong or mainland China, assuming a long-term stay or residency. For those using it for short-term travel or business trips, we recommend that you consider using other communication methods (e.g., a prepaid SIM card for overseas travel, or a carrier's roaming function).
Please make sure that your mobile device is unlocked. Also, depending on the model of device manufactured and distributed in each country, eSIM may not be available.
We also support the purchase of physical SIMs. However, when purchasing a physical SIM, you will need to accompany your partner to a local carrier store in China, sign a contract there, and receive the physical SIM. (Physical SIMs cannot be shipped overseas.)
