Beyond implemented "Danshari Month" in September 2021, and engaged in activities to eliminate waste, such as disposing of unnecessary equipment, saving electricity in the office, and reducing consumables. By shortening meeting times, which tended to be long, the company was able to reduce 300 hours per year, and by reducing unnecessary monthly expenses, it was able to reduce costs by 2.46 million yen per year
The purpose of "Danshari Month"
At Beyond, we have implemented a "Danshari" (Decluttering) month to reduce waste and create a smarter work environment. The goals are as follows:
- By reviewing the time and things we use every day, we can reduce costs and time and increase productivity within the company
- Cleaning up the office and disposing of unnecessary items
- Accept a little patience by reducing your orders for consumables and your use of electricity

Cost reduction
Reduce usage fees by deleting or scaling down cloud services used within the company
In addition, the company reduced costs by 2.46 million yen per year by canceling the company housing that employees used when they were on business trips, reducing advertising and communication costs that had become ineffective, reviewing orders for consumables and office supplies, and conserving electricity
Reduce meeting time
Shorten the length of internal meetings, which tend to be long
By reducing regular weekly meetings to once every two weeks or once a month, we were able to reduce 300 hours per year

Office Cleaning
In-house cleaning was carried out at each of our bases in Osaka, Yokohama, Shikoku, and Canada
At the free address Osaka office, the 48 trash cans at each desk have been removed to reduce the effort required for trash collection and keep the office cleaner

Danshari Month is also an effort to achieve three of the 17 goals of the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): "3. Good health and well-being for all," "7. Affordable and clean energy," and "8. Decent work and economic growth."
