table of contents
Hello!
This is Inoue, a Persian cat from Beyond Shikoku Office.
On Thursday, September 12th, we held an on-site training session for satellite offices.
What image comes to mind when you hear the term
" satellite office Some of you may not be familiar with the term.
When I ask people, "What do you imagine a satellite office to be?",
they often respond, "They work on the internet, right?"
There's no right or wrong answer.
It's true that Beyond does work on the internet, but there are also companies that don't.
What is a satellite office?
A satellite office is a smaller office located outside the head office.
There are three types: urban, regional, and suburban, and Shikoku offices are regional.
Many companies are introducing them, and many are positive about introducing satellite offices. There are also
active government initiatives in places like Miyoshi City in Tokushima Prefecture to attract satellite offices, and the former Masaumi Ryokan where we work is frequently visited by visitors. We
, from government officials who want to focus on attracting satellite offices
to companies that are positive about introducing them.
Advantages of regional satellite offices
- The national and local governments are actively supporting the opening of satellite offices
- By having an office in a different environment from the head office, employees can choose how they work
- It will also increase the options for child-rearing environments, which will be beneficial for families with children
- Reduce risks in the event of a disaster
- Opening a branch in a rural area can reduce costs compared to setting up a branch or subsidiary
- Approaching diverse human resources and potential talent
The charm of the former Masaumi Ryokan

- An old inn has been renovated and is being used as an office
- It creates opportunities to communicate with people outside the company you work for
- You can work in the same way as in the city while staying in your hometown
- There are many projects and events to be carried out with the government
- I really feel that it is helping to revitalize local areas
- There are many delicious restaurants within walking distance of the office
- It's a homey feeling that makes you feel like everyone in Ikeda town knows each other
Beyond's unique improvements born from the drawbacks
One of the disadvantages of a remote satellite office is communication.
At our company, we have installed large monitors so that we can always see conversations with headquarters and the current state of the office.
We also connect monitors for meetings and other events, allowing for lively exchanges of opinions and presentations.
Unlike the chatting that often occurs in Internet-related companies, even when we're in close proximity,
we can chat as if we were in the same space!
(The photo shows the Shikoku office as seen from the Osaka office.)

Additionally, members of the Osaka office are dispatched to the Shikoku office on a monthly basis, and
often offer suggestions
for improving communication Conversely, Shikoku office members sometimes visit the Osaka office, allowing us to understand each other's environments.
On-site inspection
We answered a variety of questions, including:
why they changed jobs to Beyond
; why they want to work in their hometown of Miyoshi City
; the appeal of Masaumi Ryokan
; and how we secure human resources It seems that touring the office gave them a better idea of the office's atmosphere and facilities.
That evening, there was a social gathering, where they were able to exchange business cards and share drinks with many people. Visitors
from people considering opening a satellite office to government officials, and
came from as far away as the Kansai, Kanto, and Kyushu regions.
Similar on-site inspections are planned for next year, so we hope that when you visit, you will ask lots of questions and
develop a positive image of opening a satellite office.
Growing every day, moving forward every day.
I have to update myself every day! ! !
Thank you for reading to the end.
