Like! ! Business trip to Taiwan! !

It's been a while. This is Takagi from the System Solutions Department. This is my third visit to Taiwan, but I've never tried tea egg (Taiwanese-style boiled egg) until now. (I'm filled with intense regret.)

Our company's Haraoka was scheduled to speak at the "Broadening Horizons Beyond Borders: Taiwan-Japan Design Thinking, Workstyle, and Cultural Exchange Conference" held in Taipei/Taichung, so I also took a business trip to Taiwan (Taipei/Taichung) to attend, and I would like to share with you what it was like there

Business trip itinerary

  1. May 16th (Tue) 1st event in Taipei
  2. May 17th (Wed) Travel & 2nd event in Taichung
  3. May 18th (Thurs) Return to Taipei and meet with Taiwanese companies
  4. May 19th (Fri) Return to Japan

To summarise our itinerary, it looks something like this:

In this blog, we will be introducing the events that took place in Taipei/Taichung in particular

So let's get started!

Great!! The Taiwan business trip report begins!

First event in Taipei

The first event The Singularity Work Café , and was well attended, making it a very meaningful and fruitful event.

I was particularly surprised by the questions we received from the participants. The discussions ranged from technical questions to topics related to trends in Japan, and developed into extremely in-depth discussions. I learned a lot from listening to them, but at the same time, I remember being reminded that I need to be more specific and clear about my own thoughts and opinions, and grow as a businessman

The venue for this event, The Singularity Work Café, was also a huge success, and not only was the interior and exterior beautiful, but the staff were all truly wonderful.

In fact, many users work here from early in the morning until late at night, making it a highly recommended spot for business travelers and students looking for a coworking space in Taipei. I would love to take advantage of the workation system and visit again

Travel & 2nd event in Taichung

On the third day in Taiwan, we took the high speed rail from Taipei to Taichung

The interior of the train was very comfortable, and the bento boxes I ate along the way stimulated my traveler's senses just enough, making for a very fond memory

▼Of course, there are also tea egg (Taiwanese style boiled eggs) available

Now, as for the important second event, it was held at Monospace, a shared workshop space

▼Second appearance

This was another wonderful space, just like last time, and all the participants were very warmly welcomed!

The Q&A session was also a lively exchange of questions and opinions, which made me realise that it is important to think broadly about our work, not just within Japan, but around the world

▼Thank you to everyone who participated!!

summary

What do you think?

Personally, this was my first overseas business trip since Toronto, and perhaps coupled with the fact that I'm a self-proclaimed Taiwan freak (sorry for being so bandwagon-ish), I'd been feeling excited for about a month, but now that I've come back it feels like it all happened in the blink of an eye

This business trip provided me with so many valuable experiences and time that it is impossible to fully introduce them all in this article, but I would like to express this entirely thanks to the organizers, Mr. Dozono and Mr. Hong of Mamezou Design Co., Ltd., Mr. Ogawa of AND Co., Ltd., who accompanied me on this trip, and most of all, to the other participants I met in Taiwan and everyone who helped out

I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you very much

I don't want to end it with "Let's do something together again someday!", I want to continue to build on this day by day so that I can actually turn that feeling into some kind of form!
