[Press Release] Introducing the “Canada Overseas Training System” that allows 3 months of training in Canada
2022.06.28
From June 2022, we have introduced a "Canada/Overseas Training System" that allows employees working in Japan to travel to our Canadian subsidiary "Beyond GTA Inc." for three months. The purpose is to deepen engineers' insight by experiencing a different culture in Canada, which is diverse.
The impetus for introducing the “Canada Overseas Training System”
Beyond, which handles the operation, maintenance, design, and construction of cloud/servers, employs manned monitoring by engineers 24 hours a day, 365 days a year in order to respond to server failures. Originally, we would have had to work three shifts and operate a night shift, but in order to take advantage of the time difference and eliminate night shifts, we established a new local subsidiary, "Beyond GTA Inc." (hereinafter referred to as "Canada Office") in Toronto, Canada. We also achieved the elimination of night shifts through monitoring in Japan and Canada.
By operating servers while constantly communicating with our three bases in Osaka, Shikoku, and Canada, we are creating opportunities for engineers living in Japan to work in Canada, improving their technical and English skills, and experiencing diversity through living locally. We have introduced the ``Canada/Overseas Training System,'' which allows employees to work for three months, in the hope that they will be able to learn about this.
Work abroad for a short period of time without having to move
Even members who would like to work overseas at least once, but find it difficult to immigrate, can experience life in Canada for a short period of three months.By cultivating technical skills under the CEO of the Canada office, they can learn in Japan. The purpose is to expand the knowledge of engineers who are unable to do so. We also hope that through working with members of the Canadian office, we will deepen communication between bases and gain exposure to overseas cultures, which will lead to a deeper understanding of diversity and inclusion.
Effects of 3-month training/Engineers' comments
An engineer who actually went from Japan to Canada for three months of training said, ``I was able to learn how to think about problem-solving through work, and the way time passes in Canada is more relaxed than in Japan.'' There were also benefits such as being able to interact with local people even in private and experiencing the feeling of moving abroad.
In the future, we will also expand our services to North America.
At our Canadian office, we provide cloud/server construction, operation and maintenance, and technical support for Japanese companies, local subsidiaries, and overseas group companies expanding into the North American region. Masu. We will continue to create an environment where Beyond members can not only work comfortably, but also challenge what they want to do, thereby improving the technical skills and motivation of our engineers and providing services that satisfy our customers.
