Beyond Co., Ltd. held "Decluttering Month" in December 2022, and engaged in activities to eliminate waste, such as disposing of unnecessary equipment, saving electricity in the office, and reducing consumables. By shortening the time and frequency of meetings, we were able to save 1,612 hours a year, and by scaling down over-spec services, we were able to reduce costs by 900,000 yen a year.
Purpose of “Decluttering Month”
At Beyond, we have implemented a decluttering month to reduce waste and create a smarter work environment. Regarding the purpose, there are three points below.
・1. By reviewing the time and things we take for granted every day, we can reduce costs and time and increase internal productivity.
・2. Cleaning up the office by cleaning and disposing of unnecessary items.
・3. Accept a little patience by ordering less consumables and using less power.
Implementation details
○ Cost reduction
Reduce usage fees by deleting or scaling down cloud services used internally. Additionally, by paying close attention to small details such as canceling company cell phone contracts that were infrequently used and making sure to turn off office monitors when leaving work, we reduced costs by 900,000 yen per year.
○ Reduced meeting time
Shorten the time for in-house meetings, which tend to be long. By changing regular weekly meetings to biweekly meetings and shortening each one-hour meeting to 45 minutes, we reduced 1,612 hours per year.
○ Unnecessary files/data organization
Improve work efficiency by sorting out information, such as organizing data on company-shared drives, reducing data by deleting past attachments (videos, etc.) on company chat tools, and stopping sending unnecessary emails.

Decluttering Month is dedicated to promoting ``3. Good health and well-being,'' ``7. Clean and affordable energy,'' and ``8.'' It is also an effort to achieve the three goals of ``decent work and economic growth''.
