We participated in the 16th Kansai Public Relations 100 Study Group!

I'm Ito, an infrastructure engineer and public relations officer.
to strengthen our inbound sales
we've established a Web Marketing Department

As part of that, we have PR activities, but since it's being started and run by people I don't know within the company, I
don't really know what to do...

We've launched new services, but
honestly, we don't know how to promote them or, more simply, what we should do going forward.

For example, this:
"JK Startup Lab" was interviewed by high school girls! | Beyond Inc.

Just then, IKansai Public Relations 100 Study Groupin something called the
had the opportunity to participate

Participation is free, but since the event itself is by invitation only, I can't go into detail about the content..

Oh, our company, Beyond, provided a conference room!

Public relations should have horizontal connections

One thing I realized after attending this meeting is that it's important for public relations professionals to have horizontal connections.
Instead of just dealing with the media, having horizontal connections
makes it easier to introduce each other to potential clients when you're looking for a story or something similar.
There's a group of people participating in this study group, and
even there, people ask, "Are there any companies doing this kind of thing?"

Of course, it's good to have connections in various fields outside of public relations, but
especially in public relations, people often say things like, "Isn't there a company like this?" regardless of the industry, so
connections are really important.
I'd like to continue participating in study groups like this in the future!

You need to keep the basics down

As I mentioned at the beginning, we're a group of people who came together with the idea of "let's just try marketing for now," so we do
n't really know what public relations actually entails.

There was a phrase that came up in the presentation, "This may be obvious to those of you in public relations," but
for me, it was a real eye-opener.

Of course, technical skills are important, but you really need to have a grasp of the "basics" of everything.
It's no good thinking like, "Well, I have another job, so it can't be helped if I don't have much time."

After all, public relations is the "face of the company"!

I plan to continue my activities more and more, so
I hope you'll support me!
