Please tell me about AWS Direct Connect

AWS Direct Connect is a dedicated line connection service provided by AWS that does not use the Internet. Connect the AWS cloud environment to the end of a leased line or closed network provided by a line carrier (NTT, KDDI, Softbank, etc.) at an AWS Direct Connect location.

AWS Direct Connect can be used between AWS cloud environments (EC2, VPC, S3, etc.) and in-house system equipment through a private network connection.

Features of AWS Direct Connect

● Private connection
AWS Direct Connect connects the AWS cloud environment and on-premises environment through a private network that does not go through the Internet. This allows for stable network connections and the ability to transfer large amounts of data at high speeds. You can also choose your network bandwidth to match your business demands, giving you flexibility in scaling your bandwidth.

● Secure connection
Provides a secure connection using an encrypted network when connecting to AWS from your data center or office. A secure network with AES-256 encryption and BGP authentication gives you easy control over security.

● Global connectivity
The AWS Direct Connect network spans the globe, providing connectivity to AWS Regions in many regions. This allows users to connect to AWS from on-premises environments or data centers owned by third parties.

● Diverse connectivity options
We offer physical connectivity options and virtual interface options. Physical connectivity uses a dedicated physical line to connect to the AWS cloud. The virtual interface option allows you to create virtual connections and connect multiple VPCs.
