I went to the Tokyo Game Show announcement event held at Hotel New Otani Garden Tower
I will write about the announcements that have been made!
This year is sure to be exciting as well!!
This year's date and theme
This year's event will be held from Thursday, September 15th to Sunday, September 18th, marking its 20th anniversary
The venue will be Makuhari Messe, and the entire building will be used
The theme is,
"Entertainment will change. The future will change."
New Corner
AI Corner
This corner exhibits software, related hardware, games, services, etc. that use AI (artificial intelligence) technology.
New Platform Corner
This corner displays dedicated hardware such as set-top boxes (STBs), dedicated game software, and services.
VR Corner
This corner displays software that uses VR (virtual reality) technology, as well as related hardware, games, and services.
Renewal Corner
Family Game Park
is a corner showcasing game software and related products that can be enjoyed by the whole family. Starting this year, the admission age limit has been expanded to junior high school students and younger and their families. There is also an area exclusive to elementary school students and younger, as well as merchandise sales and a dedicated food court.
The e-Sports corner
has been redesigned from a corner that focused on e-Sports competitions organized by the organizers in the previous event to a corner that focuses on exhibiting game titles, peripherals, and related services. The corner will also feature a large stage where exhibitors can hold e-Sports tournaments.
Online distribution
This time, Dwango is providing special support, allowing exhibitors to broadcast live on Niconico
(free for those with 40 or more booths, special plan for those with less than 40 booths).

It seems that the number of participants at this year's event announcement was significantly higher than last year
This marks the 20th anniversary of the event, and it is sure to be the largest ever.
This year will be our second time exhibiting.
Last year we exhibited jointly with Escadora Co., Ltd.
Escadora a game featuring TV Tokyo's mascot character Nanana, who came to help out at the booth.
I haven't decided what I'll be doing this year yet, but I think I'll probably exhibit alone
