[Oracle Study Group] Practitioners Discuss Real Multi-Cloud [Presenter]

「Practitioners talk about real multi-cloud: AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle Cloud」

Mr. Teraoka from our System Solutions Department spoke at the event!

was invited to speak at the event after it was certified as a Gold Partner with Oracle Cloud a cloud service provided by Oracle Corporation Japan

The theme of this study session was "Multi-cloud practitioners talk about the real world," and four speakers held a session on the advantages and disadvantages of multi-cloud

This will be Teraoka's third time speaking at a conference in his life, and his first time speaking in Tokyo

We were allowed to use half of the cafe space on the 22nd floor of Oracle's headquarters as the event venue, and I was nervous about everything from the height of the building, the size of the venue, and the stylish interior

After adding seats three times, the event was attended by a total of 80 people, including many Oracle employees!

▲The MC was Nagahisa from Oracle. He was in charge of everything from planning the event to hosting it, and I learned a lot from him about how to proceed

The first speaker was from Fun Communications, Inc. who spoke about multi-cloud operations gained from his experience with the cloud at A8.net.

Next up Recruit Lifestyle Co., Ltd. "The journey from on-premise Hadoop to multi-cloud using AWS and GCP - The advantages and disadvantages of multi-cloud"

Next up, from OpenStream Co., Ltd .: "Even with Oracle Cloud x MS Azure, 'everyone's different and everyone's good'"

▲Finally, Teraoka from our company talks about "Actual connection between AWS and Autonomous"

 

At this study session, the advantages and disadvantages of various clouds, such as AWS, Azure, GCP, and Oracle Cloud, were presented in easy-to-understand diagrams, and learning about the results of verification may have been helpful for those considering multi-cloud deployments in determining their future operational strategies

At the social gathering that followed, everyone was so kind to us who had come all the way from Osaka, and we were so touched by how warm everyone was!

Being invited to a study session in Tokyo like this is a very welcome opportunity to gain experience both as an engineer and as a public relations officer for our company, so it was a day that made me feel like I want to get out more and increase my interactions!

There will also be a Beyond study session in Tokyo on Tuesday, February 12th, 2019, so we look forward to meeting everyone in the Kanto region again!!
