[SNS Commonality] First SNS Official Account Meetup! [I want to say it soon]

table of contents
My name is Umi Fujisawa, and I am in charge of public relations and recruitment
Do you have an official social media account for your company ?
"I have accounts on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram, but I don't have any content to post, so I don't update them properly..."
If you're one of those people, I'm too
Recently, I have been attending study groups and social gatherings in the Kansai region more often, and I have often found myself thinking, "I'd like to host such fun gatherings myself."
So,I gave it a try.
"SNS Official Account Meetup ~I want to say SNS things quickly~"

This project was conceived with the desire to share common experiences on social media
Our usual Beyond study sessions have focused on technical topics, but we wanted to try a more relaxed gathering, so this is the first time we've held one
The location is WeWork in Namba SkyO!

The view from the 27th floor is amazing, and what's morebeer refillsare free! That means you can drink from lunchtime onwards. Any event held in such a fantastic location is bound to be a blast.
Everyone is worried about this
So, the theme for this session"Let's share our concerns about official social media accounts,"and we conducted a survey of participants beforehand.
Here are some of them
■ Social media account management system
- I've started using SNS, but I don't know the direction or theme
- Since the entire project is left to the company, regular updates tend to be delayed
- How to decide on a personality for your social media accounts
■ Creating new content every day
- Ideas for triggers and strategies to gain followers
- How to plan content that will spread easily
- First of all, I'm not sure how many readers there are, or whether it's worth doing
■ The line between buzz and flame wars
- How do we create a buzz?
- The perfect balance between creating buzz and not causing a firestorm
- How to deal with aggressive replies
Some of the concerns I found relatable, but others had more advanced concerns, and I realized that social media management is a complex subject
The issue that resonated with me personally was the "gap between my own perspective and that of the company."
Even though I'm such a careless person, the company I work for provides a trust-based service of operating and maintaining servers. Should I close this huge gap, or take advantage of it?
The event started with such a feeling of unease!!

After a quick greeting and toast, Beyond Fujisawa spoke in the first session
"What a server company with zero name recognition did to get likes,"introduces, to the best of my ability, the kinds of content I post on my current social media accounts.

I talked about things that were pointless, such as tweeting about tapioca ( #tapiocaactivity ) which was trending but got zero likes, and the chaotic Instagram account ( beyond_syacho ) where we keep posting drawings by our representative, Haraoka, as well as things that got a decent response.
Looking at the analytics, it's clear that recruitment-related content is quite popular on Twitter
Session 2
Next, we had Mr. Hiroyuki Kitabayashi, CEO of Cookai Inc. , and Ms. Yuki Sasaki , Branding Producer, take the stage!
Cookai Co., Ltd. , which provides business development support, handles branding and marketing for various sectors, including manufacturers, restaurants, and government agencies.

We received a detailed explanation of how to use each social media platform, such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and LINE@, in product branding , as well as examples of how to utilize them effectively
Yuki Sasaki has always been very helpful to us at the Kansai Public Relations 100 Study Group, and when we asked her about speaking at the event, she gave us the OK so quickly that I was amazed, so I am extremely grateful
Session 3
The final session will be presented by Michitaro Nakajima, from Mix Leap Planning & Operations/Recruitment at Yahoo! Japan Corporation !

Ms. Nakajima is the person in charge of the Yahoo! Osaka Twitter account ( @yahoo_osaka_jp )
They also run Mix Leap , which is held at Yahoo! Osaka , and that's what gave me my first opportunity to participate in a lightning talk competition

Ms. Nakajima previously managed the Yahoo! Fortune Twitter account ( @YahooJP_Fortune )
He explained, using examples, that the key to staying popular is how well you can showcase the unique characteristics of the people behind the content
This story really struck a chord with me, as I tend to look for one-off stories (lol)
Theme Session
After the three sessions were over,we realized that participants wouldn't be able to share their common SNS experiences if they were only listening! So, we held a group discussion based on the problems we received from the survey.
The two themes are:
- SNS account operation system
- Daily updated content creation
We formed groups of four or five people to discuss how to continue using social media, which often falls into a pattern of being abandoned because it does n't go well, such as creating an account but not using it, not knowing what to post or what tone to use, or getting discouraged when there is no reaction to posts.

As I listened to what was discussed
- "When managing the account with several people , decide who will post how many times a day , and report the content of the posts the day before ."
- "A hardworking but clumsy characteris more likely to be well-liked and become popular."
Such as actual SNS know-how
- "When I receive aggressive replies,I try not to get discouraged."
- "posting late at nightbecause it tends to turn into poetry."
We were also informed about the risks involved in carrying out such operations
Posting poetry late at night on a personal account is less damaging, but posting it on a company account is more dangerous (lol)

As expected, all the participants had high communication skills and gave presentations that were far more fluent than the content of my presentation
After the theme session, which was rather rushed, there was a rather rushed social gathering before the event came to a close

I hope this event will be a place where you can share your concerns with each other!
And I want to think together with you about what you can do to increase your fanbase on social media , and what your strengths are!
Incidentally, my failure this time was that I was supposed to live-tweet about the study session using the hashtag "#beyondsutudy," but there wasn't enough time to even post a single tweet. I guess that's a common occurrence on social media, isn't it?
Next time, I'd like to hold the event with enough time to tweet or leave the live commentary to someone else!!
