We'll teach you how to create a stylish office - Welcome to Beyond Shikoku Office!

Hello,
nice to meet you. I'm Nishimaru, also known as Bambi-chan, from the Shikoku office of Beyond Co., Ltd.

I joined Beyond in March 2019, and
it's been almost four months since I started commuting to the Shikoku office as a member of the team.

I often travel to the Osaka office for training, but
otherwise I basically work in the office at the Shikoku office.

Always working inside..

Yes, I spend most of my day in the office.
The same office, the same desk, the same chair, the same view.
Yet I never get bored of it. On the contrary, it
only becomes more comfortable.
Going to the Shikoku office every day is fun and I never get bored of it.
Me during my commute

"I wonder if I can go to that office again today~ (grins)"

That's right

Why? Because..

・・・・・・・・

Because the office is stylish!!!

makes you look forward to your daily commute,
how to create a comfortable and stylish office that
using examples from the Beyond Shikoku office.

1. The interior is already stylish

If you're disappointed that I started off by pretending to talk about interior design,
don't close the blog just yet! (lol)

This is the entire office.
We're renting a room in a building that used to be a traditional Japanese inn, and
apparently, this room was originally used for Christian wedding ceremonies.

in this spot where a large, antique-style clock now sits
It is said that a cross once hung
(The clock at night has a great atmosphere.)

What a valuable experience to work in such a prestigious space..

While working in a new office building with state-of-the-art facilities is appealing,
I've come to realize that working in an environment where I can experience the history of a building is also wonderful.

2. Use a consistent color scheme for your interior

As you can see from the previous image,
the furniture and appliances in the office are all unified in wood grain, brown, and black.

The soft cream-colored walls seem to accentuate them.
(This is the daytime version. During the day, it's bathed in gentle light.)

Personally, I think this color scheme is perfect for the office.
Its calm, sophisticated atmosphere exudes just the right amount of elegance,
and I'm sure it will leave a great impression on clients.

3. You can instantly revive used items by adding a few items

This sofa and desk

It was installed in another location but wasn't being used, so
we were able to take it.
(It made me feel nostalgic, reminding me of the principal's office... and it turns out it really was used in the principal's office
! Let's bring IT to the countryside! A Persian cat introduces the Shikoku office!)

It looks like this now

By combining it with a natural white and green rug,
the principal's office was transformed into a multi-purpose space where everyone would want to linger.
(And this rug is so fluffy!)
As you can see, even furniture that might seem out of place in a room
can blend in perfectly with just one extra item.

How was it?

I introduced the Shikoku office as if it were my own, but
actually the coordination was handled by Director Morita, and
when I joined the company, the "stylish" look was already mostly complete.

That's why this time the instructions were quite rough, but
I think steps 2 and 3 are things you can put into practice right away.

Offices are used by many people.
There are limitations such as individual preferences and budgets, butit's possible to make them stylish with a little ingenuity.
I hope to continue posting articles about offices, so
I would be happy if you would read them!

My colleague Inoue-san, who works in the same Shikoku office, gave me the nickname "Bambi." Apparently, I resemble a certain fawn character. What an honor...
I'm striving every day to balance work and family life in order to become a great engineer.
