[Chinese Visa] How to pass between Lokma Chau Port (Hong Kong side) and Huanggang Port (Shenzhen side) [Must see! ! ]

My eye-catching Pekingese is a Pekingese, but my pet dog is Takagi, who works for Toy Poodle's System Solutions Department.

It's been getting quite hot and humid lately, but how are you all doing?

Please take care of yourself and don't forget to hydrate frequently!

Now, changing the subject, this time I will explain on this blog how to pass between Lokma Chau Port (Hong Kong side) and Huanggang Port (Shenzhen side).

I did a lot of research before traveling, but I was still very anxious until I actually got there, and I kept wondering, ``Will I even be able to get into Shenzhen?'' I hope this will help those who are entering the country. .

Introduction

As mentioned at the beginning, I had the opportunity to go to Shenzhen on a business trip between May 29 and June 3, 2023, and at that time I entered the country via Hong Kong using special zone travel visa So, I will explain how to do that.

*However, some of the information written here is official, some is not, and it is based on the information I used when traveling abroad, so please be aware that the information written here is based on the information I used when traveling abroad. There is a good chance that this may change, or that my article may become unreliable. We appreciate your understanding on this matter.

About the specific route

Now, getting to the main topic, the route I took this time is as follows.

■ Outward journey

① Kansai International Airport → Hong Kong International Airport

② Take Skylimo and leave the Hong Kong side port (Lokma Chau port) & enter the China side from the Shenzhen side port (Huanggang port)

■ Return trip

① Take Skylimo and depart from the Shenzhen side port (Huanggang port) & enter the Hong Kong side from the Hong Kong side port (Lokma Chau port)

② Hong Kong International Airport → Kansai International Airport

Now let's move on to the actual explanation!

About the outward journey

How to get to Skylimo platform

After passing all the checks, go out of Arrival Hall B and turn left. Immediately you will see a board like the one in the photo below, so head in the direction of "Mainland / Macao Transportation". Go straight towards it.

▼ Landmark information board

After a 4-5 hour flight from Kansai International Airport, we arrived at Hong Kong International Airport just after midnight, and I felt that there were surprisingly many people there even at midnight. Although the store was closed, there were quite a few people sleeping on the benches, and there were a lot of people at McDonald's, so I felt completely safe!

Ignoring the 7-Eleven that appears on your left, you walk straight ahead until you arrive at the ticket office for Skylimo (a type of shared taxi).

▼ Your desired ticket office

How to buy tickets

▼ Ticket reception for the bus company we used this time

This time, I wanted to head to the Huanggang Port, so I used Yongdong Travel Agency

Around 6:00, receptionists from other travel agencies started coming to work one after another, so I waited for the reception desk to open and purchased my ticket ($150 in Hong Kong dollars).

I paid in cash, but I could also use a credit card.

Let's go!

By the way, the time written on the screen was that the first train would start at 8:00, but when I actually asked the receptionist, I was told that the first train was at 7:30, so I sat next to the reception and was at capacity. Wait until the other person arrives and then move to the boarding area.

▼ Let's move together

Follow the lead, take the elevator down to the basement, and a large van will be waiting for you. Before getting on, load your carry-on case, hand over your passport to the driver, and then board the van.

There seems to be an upper limit on the size and number of carrying cases, but it looks like it's OK if you pack them, so it's unclear how strictly they are enforced.

If you are interested, it might be a good idea to research or inquire in advance!

Also, at this time, if you hand over the "Hong Kong Entry Card" that you receive when you arrive in Hong Kong with it still stuck in your passport, it will be taken with you and you will have trouble later on, so half of the flight ticket when you arrive in Hong Kong is Store it somewhere else along with your tickets. .

The reason will be explained later, but I fell into this trap (no one else has set it, but I regret it...), and it became a bit of a hassle.

About Lok Ma Chau Port (Hong Kong side exit) → Huanggang Port (Shenzhen side entry)

This is the part that I personally had the hardest time picturing, but to be honest, I think it's easier to understand if you imagine a "Japanese expressway."

▼ Image diagram (I don't have a photo. Sorry.)

After getting into the car, we drove down the expressway and when we arrived at the Lok Ma Chau Port (exit on the Hong Kong side), the driver handed the passport we had collected earlier to the receptionist at what looked like a toll gate and said, ``Car. You will go through the exit formalities while on board.

Having said that, it didn't take that long, just visually checking that the passport photo matched the owner, and the exit formalities were completed in about 5-6 minutes.

If I can safely leave Hong Kong, I will drive for about 30 minutes towards the Huanggang Port (the Shenzhen side of the border) with my foot firmly pressed on the accelerator.

Regarding entry procedures at Huanggang Port (Shenzhen side entry)

▼ Before entering the Kookaguchi shore

I did a lot of research before I actually got to this point, but every site I saw said things like, ``The number is limited, and once the limit is reached, you won't be able to enter the country,'' or ``Even though I came to get a special zone travel visa There was a lot of disturbing information, such as "It wasn't published," so I was always dominated by the feeling of "Hey, are you serious?", but in the end, I said, "It's not that difficult. However. , I recommend coming early in the morning.''

In fact, the visa issuance counter (it's a little hard to find, but it's on the left wall as you enter) opened at 9:00, so you could use the photo machine next to it to get the free application. While I was waiting to take my ID photo, the receptionist handed me an application form, so I borrowed a pen and filled it out.

Meanwhile, the reception desk started to open, so I grabbed a numbered ticket and waited until my number was called and I actually applied.

At this time, I had to submit my passport and Hong Kong entry card , as I mentioned earlier, they were totally fooled, so I managed to escape by showing them the stub of the flight ticket between Kansai Airport and Hong Kong.

Once this application is accepted, you pay the fee (168 yuan) with your credit card and wait for about 30 minutes. The card has been successfully issued and you can proceed to the next stage of screening and security check.

you will need to apply for your health status via Wechat before actually entering this immigration facility

Although the results of the PCR test were not required, you will not be able to enter the facility smoothly without the QR displayed on the screen after applying , so we recommend that you register in advance!

(Even if you don't do that, there is a QR code in front of the facility, so you can register, but if you don't have a network connection, you'll be stuck. I think Wifi wasn't an issue...)

After entering the Huanggang Port (Shenzhen side entry)

▼ Image after entering Shenzhen

After actually entering the country, I followed the signboards, crossed the pedestrian bridge, and took a train from Huanggang Port Station to my destination.

I couldn't find a ticket office like in Japan, so I asked the station staff to buy it, but if you go there often, you might want to consider purchasing a card like PiTaPa or Suica. Maybe!

About the return trip

As for the return trip, I don't think it will be particularly difficult since you just do the opposite of what you did on the way there, but when I head to Hong Kong, I also use Skylimo from the same Huanggang port to get to Lok Ma Chau port (Hong Kong side departure). I headed to

The process is simple: get off the subway at Huanggangkou Station, enter the port facility (again, you apply for health status via Wechat ), go through the security check, and the Skylimo drivers will greet you enthusiastically at the entrance. I received a warm welcome, so I paid the fee ($150 in Hong Kong dollars) and headed back the same way I came.

summary

What do you think? ?

Based on this incident, I have listed below what I feel is important, so if you are thinking of traveling by the same route in the future, please take a look!

① Go to Kouokaguchi as early as possible in the morning!

Regarding this, I actually arrived too early, but by about 10:00, the number of people had gradually increased, and even though I had given myself plenty of time at first, I thought, ``However, I didn't know what time they would arrive.'' I have to think about it.'' We were forced to change our mind, so if you want to be sure to enter the country, we recommend that you line up by 9:00 at the latest.

I don't know about other ports, but if you go early in the morning at the Kouoka port, you have a very good chance of getting a ticket, but depending on the timing, you might end up with a group of customers. There is a possibility that this may happen, so please be careful.

② It’s better to have cash!

, I paid with some cash and Wechat's mini-program Tourcard It may be a good idea to carry enough cash to pay for the round trip. .

In particular, I feel like I couldn't use my credit card to pay for Skylimo when returning from Shenzhen to Hong Kong. (I paid in cash)

Personally, it was a very fulfilling business trip for me, and I felt like I had no inconveniences once I joined, so I felt that I had a very good experience.

It would be great if this article was an opportunity for me to meet you somewhere in Shenzhen someday! !

please note that this article is information as of May 29, 2023 - June 3, 2023 , when I traveled there

The best way to be sure is to check the official information, but of course there are some people who don't know anything about it, so I hope I can be of some help to those people!
