table of contents
It has been a while.
I'm Takoni, a member of the System Solutions Department's Casino Nutrition Department.
It's been a long time since I last heard from Canada, so I'm sure you're all wondering what kind of fun Japanese people have in Canada.
, I participated in an event called "Japan Night" held in Canada on Thursday, March 21, 2024
This event is easy for Japanese people visiting Canada to participate in, so if you are interested, please come and join us next time!
What kind of event is Japan Night?
Event overview

○ Location: AM PM
○ Address: 1566 Queen St W, Toronto, ON M6R 1A6, Canada

Japan Night Toronto's largest J-POP and anime song themed nightclub event . Last time, more than 200 people participated, and this time it was a huge success even though it was a weekday Thursday.
At first glance, the ratio of Japanese to Canadian about 5:5 , making it a very nice event where you could have fun and interact while listening to nostalgic Japanese songs and famous anime songs. ! !
The time schedule is roughly like this
◇ 22:00 ~ 23:00 :JPOP & Anime song Remix by DJ
◇ 23:00 ~ 24:00 :Lottery (similar to bingo)
◇ 0:00 - 0:30: Stage performance by guest cosplayers
◇ 0:30 ~ 2:00 :JPOP & Anime song Remix by DJ
Features of Japan Night
From here, I would like to introduce the characteristics of Japan Night that I felt when I actually went there!
The event venue is amazing
AM PM in Toronto , and although it wasn't that big of a venue, the lights and video production were gorgeous and wonderful.
Also, the remixes by DJs are good, so it's highly recommended for those who want to relieve their everyday stress while getting into music!
▼ The atmosphere of the venue was like this, it was a stylish and intense space.
*AM PM, the venue for this event, also has an Instagram page, so be sure to check it out!

Lottery prizes are amazing
The prizes from the lottery held on the day meal tickets to a high-end Japanese restaurant and figurines from popular anime , giving it a very luxurious impression.
Also, the lottery method is unique, using the number of the electronic ticket purchased, and the moderator draws the lottery ticket with the number written on it and reads it out loud.If your number is called, you win a prize. Due to the structure and the atmosphere of the venue, it was a very fun event where everyone got excited every time a number was read out!
By the way, neither I nor the person I went with won anything. . . (crying)
I wanted a gift certificate that I could use at a sake shop. . . .
Guest cosplayers are amazing
A popular local cosplayer came as a guest and performed on stage, making it the most exciting event of the day!
The cosplayers were really good at making things exciting, and as a Japanese person, I felt happy when I saw the Japanese and Canadians dancing so happily to J-POP! !
I felt a great sense of unity with the people there, so I highly recommend it to those who want to interact with local Canadians who love Japan! !
Drinks are amazing
There is a bar counter set up at the venue where you can purchase alcohol, but in collaboration with the bar, they were selling Japanese-style drinks such as highballs and sake shots, which are hard to find in Canada. .
I myself have had the opportunity to drink alcohol in Canadian restaurants several times, but there were only a few that stocked highballs and sake, so this is a great place for people who want to have fun with Japanese alcohol! This was a highly recommended selection!
Of course, Asahi beer was also available, so it's also recommended for beer lovers!
The organizer is amazing
This is a bit of a personal impression, but the organizers were Mirui Kiuchi and Saori Shimada , and they were both current university students! !
While both of them are attending university, they are holding events to spread Japanese culture in Canada, so I spoke with them briefly, and I got the impression that they were very polite and full of vitality. .
He is currently temporarily returning to Japan due to visa issues, but he has said that he would like to come back to Canada soon and hold an event, so be sure to check out future events!
