It has been a while
I'm Takoni, a casino nutrient in the System Solutions Department
It's been a while since we last reported from Canada, and I'm sure you're all wondering what kind of fun Japanese people have in Canada
This time"Japan Night", I'd like to tell you about the
This is an event that is easy for Japanese people visiting Canada to participate in, so if you're interested, please come along to the next event!

Japan Night isToronto's largest nightclub event themed around J-POP and anime songs. Apparently, over 200people attended the last event, and this time, despite being on a weekday Thursday, it was a huge success.
My initial impression was that the ratio of Japanese to Canadian attendees was roughly5:5, and it was a wonderful event where people could enjoy interacting with each other while listening to nostalgic Japanese songs and famous anime theme songs!
The time schedule is roughly like this
◇ 22:00 ~ 23:00 :DJ-produced JPOP & Anime Song Remixes
◇ 23:00 ~ 24:00 :Lottery (like bingo)
◇ 0:00 - 0:30:guest cosplayersStage performance by
◇ 0:30 ~ 2:00 :DJ-produced JPOP & Anime Song Remixes
Features of Japan Night
From here, I would like to introduce the characteristics of Japan Night that I felt when I actually went there!
The event venue is amazing
This eventAM PM, a nightclub in Toronto. It's not a particularly large venue, but the lighting and video effects were incredibly elaborate and fantastic.
The DJ remixes are also great, so it's highly recommended for those who want to relieve everyday stress while getting into the groove!
▼The atmosphere at the venue was like this, a stylish and intense space

* The venue for this event, AM PM, also has an Instagram account, so please check it out!

The prizes in the lottery are amazing
The prizes for the raffle held that daymeal vouchers for high-end Japanese restaurants and figurines from popular animewere quite luxurious, including
The lottery method was also unique, using the numbers on the electronic tickets purchased. The host would draw tickets with numbers written on them and read them out loud. If your number was called, you would win a prize. Combined with the atmosphere in the venue, it was a really fun event, with everyone getting excited every time a number was read out!
By the way, neither I nor the person I went with won anything... (cries)
I really wanted a gift certificate that could be used at a sake shop...
The guest cosplayers are amazing
A popular local cosplayer was there as a guest and performed on stage, creating the biggest excitement of the day!
The cosplayers were great at livening up the atmosphere, and seeing the Japanese and Canadian people dancing to J-POP with such joy made me feel really happy as a Japanese person!!
There was an incredible sense of unity with the people there, so I highly recommend this event to anyone who wants to interact with local Canadians who love Japan!
The drinks are amazing
There was a bar counter set up at the venue where you could purchase alcohol, and in collaboration with the bar they were selling Japanese-style drinks such as highballs and sake shots, which are hard to find in Canada
I have had the opportunity to drink alcohol at a number of establishments in Canada, but there were very few establishments that stocked highballs and sake, so I would highly recommend this selection to anyone who wants to have fun with Japanese alcohol!
Of course, Asahi beer was also available, so it's recommended for beer lovers!

The organizers are amazing
This is a somewhat personal observation, but the organizers wereMirui KiuchiandSaori Shimada, and surprisingly, both of them are currently university students!
Both of them are currently attending university and organizing events to promote Japanese culture in Canada. From the brief conversation I had with them, I got the impression that they were very polite and full of vitality
He is currently temporarily back in Japan due to visa issues, but he said he would like to return to Canada soon to hold an event, so be sure to keep an eye on his future event plans!
