[Come here] I went on a business trip to the Beyond Shikoku office 🏕️! ! ! !![Awa Ikeda]

Hello.
In my head, i = 0

This is Kawa from the System Solutions Department

It's May. I
guess new graduates are starting their training in earnest soon.
It may be a tough time from now, but in the context of life, it's like a drop of water falling into a pond, so let's do our best while taking it easy (in a good way).

Last month in mid-April, I took a four-hour bus ride from Osaka to our Shikoku office (Miyoshi City, Tokushima Prefecture) for a week-long business trip! It may seem

presumptuous of me to be writing this blog while my predecessors (the vastness and the sky) are writing blogs, but I would like to share with you the atmosphere of the Miyoshi office and its surroundings, so I would like to write a report with lots of photos (compared to our company's)!

[Business trip report] Infrastructure engineer to Shikoku office (Miyoshi City, Tokushima Prefecture)

Is this the office? ! Beyond's Shikoku office was more than I expected

What is the Shikoku Office?

For those who don't know in the first place!

The Shikoku office a satellite office that Beyond is based in the former Masaumi Ryokan in Ikeda-cho, Miyoshi City, Tokushima Prefecture .

▼ Entrance

The building, which used to operate as a traditional Japanese inn, has been renovated and reborn as a rental office.
Our office is on the second floor. I worked in this building for about a week.
The town as a whole has a laid-back, calm atmosphere, which allowed me to work in a relaxed atmosphere. It was a very enjoyable experience, and a completely different feel from Osaka.

Recommended facilities in the area

Other members have already written about the office, so I'd like to introduce some of my personal recommendations for nearby spots!

■ Supermarket

We need food to live, right?
Conveniently located in front of the station Daily Mart Frespo Awa Ikeda ). It has a wide selection of products and is open until 9pm.
Another store is just a five-minute walk from the office, and a little more than a five-minute walk from the station (on the right side of the map) Sunshine Ikeda . It's got a wide selection of local ingredients. The hassaku oranges shown below are an incredible 120 yen. Local production for local consumption at its finest.

■ Bridge

The famous Kazurabashi Bridge is too far away for me to go, so I decided to go to Shikinokamibashi Bridge,

▲View from above

In fact, this bridge is for pedestrians only, as cars cannot pass over it.
It is narrow and the footing is made of mesh. If you drop something small, it will fall straight into the river.

According to the Tokushima Prefecture website,
https://www.pref.tokushima.lg.jp/bridge/tokushima_bridge/2015020900375/

This slender pedestrian suspension bridge spans the dam's lake.
The tower is 18.35m high, the tower columns are spaced 160.6m apart, and the bridge is 1.7m wide.
H-girders are installed on both sides of the tower, and wind-resistant measures are installed on both sides of the walkway to prevent shaking.

The author took the photo carefully, being careful not to drop his smartphone. (Just dropping it would never be enough. )

But the Yoshino River is incredibly beautiful. Recommended level: ★★★★★★★☆

■ Dining

I didn't eat out much to save money and be healthy, but I'd like to share a few of my experiences 🍣

" YAMAAI "

is especially popular for lunch. There are four set meals to choose from, which can be quite difficult.
After 30 minutes of deliberation, I decided to order the seared bonito set meal. It was delicious.

" heso salon "
A cafe and bar on the first floor of 4S STAY Awa Ikeda where the author stayed.

▼ Appearance

Heso Salon's signature dish is wild game, and they mainly serve wild boar and venison.
(It seems that wild boar meat is hard to come by this year, so there is little stock.)

So I ordered grilled venison skewers

and Tokushima local beer (Sudachi).

It's bustling with customers day and night (the photo was taken before it opened).

The accommodation facility, 4S STAY, is also like a hostel, and I was quite surprised to see that
it's a very popular place with foreign tourists, with travelers from Europe and the Middle East coming and going every day.
Beyond members also stay there every month, and the staff have been very kind to us. It was a very comfortable stay.
