I'm miyoshi, in charge of recruitment at Beyond.

Before you know it, it's autumn.
Not too long ago, there was a hint of summer in the air, but I'm glad that long sleeves are now in season.

Well, for my first blog, I will be writing about the job offer ceremony that took place on October 1st (Tuesday).

In this article, we will introduce the types of informal offer ceremonies and social gatherings that Beyond holds for students who are interested in Beyond, those who are job-hunting, and companies who are curious about what other companies' informal offer ceremonies are like. I would like to be able to tell you about the situation and contents of the event.

How many people will be accepted into Beyond for the class of 2025?

There were 9 people graduating in 2025!

Last year, 15 people were offered job offers, with a male to female ratio of 11:4, while this year there were 9, with a male to female ratio of 5:4.
Although the number of members has decreased, the proportion of female members in Beyond is also increasing.

I'm already looking forward to working together next year.

What kind of clothes did you wear at Beyond's informal ceremony?

Everyone is participating in suits.

I usually work in casual clothes, so the formal attire of the Beyond members was very refreshing.
All the candidates looked fresh in their suits, and I could see that they were well prepared for the workforce.

I also wore a jacket, which was unusual, so I think I was able to pull myself together and serve as the host.
The only time I wear a suit is for a job offer or joining ceremony, so it would be nice if I could use it as a good opportunity to get back to basics.

Venue where the informal ceremony was held

Namba Midosuji Hall

→It's the same venue as last year. It's about a 5-minute walk from the Beyond Osaka office.

It seems like we use it every year (this is my first time), and I'm grateful that we were able to hold the informal ceremony this year as well. This year, the number of participants was limited, so there was ample space for the number of participants.

Next, I would like to introduce you to the schedule of Beyond's official offer ceremony.
It's 2 and a half hours including group work, and it's a lot of volume! (listed in the schedule)

① Opening greetings

The author served as the moderator.

I still get nervous when speaking in front of a large group of people. My legs were shaking as it was my first time as a host (;^ω^)

Even though I had prepared and practiced carefully, I still felt the heat in my body when I stood in front of people.
I think I was more nervous than the person who had been offered the job. sweat

 

②Greetings from the representative director

Greetings from Haraoka, our representative director.

I called out each candidate by name and sent them a message asking them to make the most of their time before joining the company.

When I was creating the slides for the job offer ceremony, I asked three questions (Q about the aesthetics of work, Q beyond like the name of a dish, Q recent events and hobbies). He also talked about the content.

 

③ Awarding a certificate of informal offer

When all of the applicants came forward when their names were called, Haraoka handed them a certificate of offer.

Although I was the one who prepared the certificate of offer, I was happy to see all the applicants receive it.

 

④Greetings to prospective employees

As with the awarding of certificates of offer, we asked each person who had been offered a job offer to come forward and introduce themselves and tell us about their future aspirations.

There were people who loved games, people who greeted us with anecdotes related to their hometowns, people who told us about their special skills, and everyone's individuality and humor shined through their wonderful greetings. Everyone had fun!

 

⑤Closing remarks

I sent a message via Zoom from my Canadian office.

Like Haraoka, he had asked Morita questions in advance, and while touching on the content, expressed his desire to make the most of his remaining time before joining the company.

⑥Group work

After the informal offer ceremony, we took a break and then divided into four groups, consisting of prospective employees and employees, and held two workshops.
The purpose is to relieve tension and get Beyond members and prospective candidates to get to know each other by interacting with each other through the game! Once you know what kind of people there are, it will be easier to imagine what kind of people you would like to work with.

This year we held a ``self-introduction game'' and a ``bakery game''

the ``Self-Introduction Game ,'' students talk about themselves in order according to a theme.
``Bakery Game'' is a game where you pretend to be a baker and ``build a successful bakery.''

By the way, each team decides which bread to sell, and we ask them to think about how to develop their bread, how to market it, where to open their shop, etc., and the team that receives the vote from the judges as the most attractive bakery will be selected. Win! That's what it means. (There was also a group that said they would open a shop near the recently opened Grand Green in Umeda...!)

And this year's prize is rice. It's so practical - I'll definitely eat it.

The members who were in charge of the group work were the 23rd and 24th graduates.

Beyond's social gathering

After the informal offer ceremony, there was a social gathering, which I would also like to introduce.

The prospective candidates and Beyond members interacted while enjoying delicious food and drinks in a stylish and cozy space.

We asked all of our prospective applicants to rotate their tables every 30 minutes!
Everyone talked so actively, so I think we were able to learn more about each other.

It seemed like they were so excited that I could barely hear them as I tried my best to use the microphone to raise my voice. ^^)
