I always use Dropbox for temporary storage of Excel data and for exchanging large amounts of data with clients
However, the data created in Dropbox needs to be backed up to the company's file server, and
manually copying it to the file server every time is a hassle, so I was looking for a way to automatically synchronize the data when I
found a synchronization software called "RealSync".
This time, I'll explain how to automatically synchronize data from Dropbox to a file server using RealSync
First, download RealSync
You can download it from the official website below, so please download it. (By the way, you can also download it from Vector .) After downloading, a folder named "rsync193" will be created.
Also, since RealSync does not use the registry after downloading,
please save it to an easily accessible folder of your choice after installation.

Configuring Folders to Sync
In the rsync193 folder you downloaded earlier, there is a file called "RealSync.exe".
Use this file to configure the folders you want to synchronize.

When you open "RealSync.exe", the following screen will appear, so open "Update"

As shown below:
① Enter the location of the data you want to synchronize/back up in "Source".
② Enter the location to synchronize/back up to in "Destination".
Once you have completed entering ① and ②, click "OK" at the bottom right

Next, go back to the first screen and click "Options" -> "General Settings."

Check the "Automatic Update" box and enter the "Time Interval" for synchronization and backup.
The minimum interval you can set is "1 minute interval".
After entering the information, click "OK".
Now the synchronization and backup setup is complete. From
here on, your files will be automatically synchronized and backed up from Dropbox to your file server.

You can see that synchronization is performed automatically at the set interval as shown below

Other optional features include "synchronizing only specified extensions" and "recording logs by date."
summary
This synchronization tool is a versatile tool that can be used to back up data from cloud storage services other than Dropbox, such as "Own Cloud" and "Amazon Drive," as well as data on file servers. It's an easy-to-use and free synchronization tool, so why not give it a try?
