What to do when the mount menu disappears from Windows 10

It's been a year and a half since the release of Windows 10.
There's talk of the Creators Update being released in April, but
the original Windows 10 upgrade also added a lot of useful features.
I remember being delighted when one of them was the inclusion of the "ISO image mounting function" as a standard feature in the OS.
It was great that Windows 8 had the ability to burn ISO images as standard, but the
addition of the mounting function also meant that I no longer needed the virtual drive software I had been using for years.

A very useful disk image tool
However, some people may suddenly find themselves unable to find this feature.
Hey, you there, have you installed any disc burning software recently?
The Windows 10 mounting feature disappears when an ISO file is associated with another software.
Huh?! Where did my disk image tool go?!
If you look closely, you'll see that the icon has changed. The image shows an example of associating it with WordPad.
How to fix it
The fix is simple, just remove the association.
Since you can mount and write to it by default, you can just launch third-party software when you need it.
Right-click on the ISO file, open "Properties", and click the "Change" button

Then click "Explorer"

Now you should be back to normal! What do you think?
