I heard many stories of failures in LINE game development. [13th Beyond Study Session held]

The 13th Beyond Study Session was held on Friday, July 13th, 2018!

Title: " Failed Teacher: The Men Who Created LINE Games "

The theme is stories of failure in game development

The speakers were Kamata (formerly of LINE) and Otsuka (King Japan), who were both founding members of LINE Games

They have both spoken at a Beyond study group held in Tokyo

The venue is GMO Internet Inc.'s Osaka office

It's on the 23rd floor of Grand Front, so the view is amazing

Preparing the venue..

The study session has begun! I will be the moderator and it will get off to a smooth start

First, Mr. Nakata from GMO gave an explanation of the venue

There are expensive paintings hanging on the walls, and if you touch one, a muscular security guard will come running

I'd like to take a look. And then the main story begins

The first speaker was Mr. Kamata, formerly of LINE Corporation, who spoke about "How to avoid failure by thinking you're okay"

As expected, stories of failure are interesting and informative

He also answered questions from the participants in detail

Next up was a PR session by Nakauchi from our technical sales department

We've introduced server support

I feel happy when more and more hands go up when I hear, "Who knows about Beyond?"

The final talk was by Mr. Otsuka of King Japan Co., Ltd., who spoke about how "When things seem like they're going to fail, that's the most important thing."

We thought it would be best to have everyone listen while drinking, so we quickly handed out alcohol to all the participants

He is truly a rapper and a master of storytelling. I was so engrossed in his speech that I lost track of time

A social gathering will also be held after the study session

So many people participated that we couldn't stop handing out pizza

Finally, our company representative, Mr. Haraoka, gave a closing speech and the social gathering came to a close

The date for the next study session has not yet been decided, but we are currently planning the theme, so please look forward to it
