A short session was held at CEDEC2018 [Infrastructure cost saving techniques]
This is Kai Fujisawa from public relations.
Our company participated for the first time in CEDEC2018 held at Pacifico Yokohama from August 22nd (Wednesday) to August 24th (Friday), 2018!
Behind the venue is the Yokohama Grand InterContinental Hotel, whose exterior resembles the sails of a yacht.
CEDEC (Computer Entertainment Developers Conference) is a study session for game developers sponsored by CESA (Computer Entertainment Association). It is one of the largest study groups in Japan in the game industry, and this year marks its 20th anniversary.
At our company, Nakauchi and Ohara from our technical sales department took the stage on the second day, Thursday, the 23rd, as a short session.
Over 8,000 people attended the three-day event, and many people attended not only the sessions but also the booths.
The exhibiting companies are all famous as far as the eye can see.
More than 40 booths were lined up.
Ohara collects flyers and novelties from all kinds of exhibiting companies.
Everything will be packed in a tote bag exclusively for speakers.
This is the booth of Monobit Co., Ltd., which is exhibiting the [Monobit Engine]. Colorful novelties were lined up.
Ohara runs down the stairs and eats the Umaibo given to him by Monobit.
The session was titled ``For those of you who want to save on infrastructure costs! 5 money-saving techniques from server operators.''
- Server configuration failure example
- Points to keep in mind during the server configuration stage
- How to save on server costs
We have explained things in an easy-to-understand manner even for beginners.
He looked nervous in the waiting room before going on stage.
Check the microphone carefully.
Desolate Ohara.
Thankfully, a lot of people came along and the session started.
The content of the session will be uploaded to YouTube at a later date, so please wait for a while.
After the session, we also participated in the "CEDEC Award", which honors and recognizes the achievements of developers from a technical perspective.
Afterwards, our members who had forgotten to buy tickets for the social party "Developers' Night" paraded around Chinatown.
Cheap and delicious is justice.
This was my first time participating in CEDEC, and since it is Japan's largest game industry, I was able to have a session in an atmosphere that cannot be experienced in the Kansai region.
We will continue to grow so that we can participate next year, so please continue to support Beyond!
