Hello, this is Sakashita from Beyond Co., Ltd.!
Beyond Co., Ltd. conducts employee training called MG (management game) training once a year.
We recently held the 2018 MG training! I also participated for the first time! !
This time, we held the event jointly with PourVous Co., Ltd., so we would like to tell you about the event!
Management game (MG training)
What is Management Game (MG)?
A management game is a management simulation game developed in 1976.
Simply put, a game where everyone becomes the president, comes up with business strategies, and runs the company .
There is a special game board as shown in the photo, and the participants are the presidents of a manufacturing company.
We manufacture and sell products using the game board.
Then record the transaction in the ledger,
We will compile them into financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement).
The game is played with 6 people per table, divided into groups A, B, and C.
The game ends when the time or number of transactions reaches the specified number in each period.
After that, we prepare financial statements and settle the accounts.
The team's groups change each period in order of sales.
The 5th period was held over two days from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm!
MG training begins!
In the first period, in order to understand the rules, you played the game as instructed by the teacher.
With the first season over, everyone looks tired... I was really very tired...
We actually do it ourselves from the second term! !
In the second period, I had a difficult time understanding the rules and couldn't keep up with the pace of the game.
Selling products is a competitive process, but if you worry too much, you won't be able to compete, so
The ability to make quick decisions is extremely important.
As a result of my second term, I was unable to make a profit and was in the red...
I had some equity left, so I didn't go bankrupt, but I did take out a loan.
Creating financial statements is extremely difficult, and most people complete them with a calculator in hand! !
I played the game in Group A, which had the highest sales from the 4th season.
Rules for advanced players called Senior Rules have been added, and it's very difficult just to keep up with them...
I have to think about strategy more than just the junior rules, so over the course of two days I was able to turn my head around for the first time in a while! (lol)
Game over! To this award!
At MG training, there are awards for various things.
In order of highest equity capital, highest sales in each period, highest numerical ability of financial statements, etc.
Various rankings were announced, and the award ceremony was held after the end of the 5th term.
The recipient of the award was Tsuyoshi Nakagawa from our system solutions department, who was participating for the first time!
There was only one person whose net worth exceeded 300, and he was awarded the exclusive 1st place award!
Nakagawa has always been really good at games, and he showed off his talent this time too!
congratulations! !
By the way, I also received an award because I was able to survive for two terms on the team with the highest sales! Yay! !
What I realized after attending the seminar
The purpose of this training was to "make decisions on your own," so
I was playing the game with that goal in mind!
In MG training, the number of “ decision making ” is very important.
Even if you start with the same amount and conditions, management will change with each decision.
Sales and profits also change, so I deeply felt that it all depends on the decision-making of management.
MG training is `` You will understand accounting in the 25th term. You will understand management in the 50th term.
You can understand the strategy in the 75th season. People change in the 100th generation. ” is said.
I felt that MG was such an influential game.
After completing this MG training, all our members participated in the training at least once!
We will continue to hold MG training sessions to encourage all employees to think about management.
I will do my best to grow the company! !
