The other day, when I tried to view the Google Calendar (app version) on my iPhone, I had a really hard time seeing a notification about device policy violations I did a lot of searching, but I couldn't find any articles that had a similar solution.
When I was about to give up, I tried logging in again and the problem was resolved easily, so I would like to write down the solution here for those who are in a similar situation.
The sudden appearance of a hateful “notification regarding device policy violation”
Was it around last week? When I opened the Google Calendar app on my iPhone to check my schedule on the go, I saw a message saying ``Notice regarding device policy violation.''
{ picture. Nanikore...
The account I was trying to check the schedule on was a G Suite account, so I thought, ``Is this a violation? A policy violation? Something like unauthorized access?'' I was very panicked, thinking that I had done something.
Try searching for "Notification regarding device policy violation"
I searched for "Notice regarding device policy violation" and looked at various articles, and found that "I logged in as a G Suite administrator, asked them to delete the device in device management, and then logged in again and something was fixed." I saw some articles like this.
Moreover, this seems to be a common phenomenon with G Suite.
For the time being, I tried deleting the iPhone login using G Suite device management from G Suite management and logging in again.
It was impossible after all.
If you look closely, you'll notice that it says "passcode"
I had given up, but if the Google Calendar app doesn't allow access due to device policy violations, then of course I can't check Gmail either.
This is really inconvenient...I tried logging in again after it didn't work, but I still can't...
Even if I close the app or turn the iPhone back on, it doesn't work.
After reading the error again, I finally noticed something.
You will need to set a passcode. I'll write it down! ! ! !
By the way, I'm using an iPhone I did.
Try turning your iPhone's passcode back on
I was skeptical that it would be possible to turn off the passcode and not be able to access my G Suite account, so I decided to try and get the passcode back on my iPhone.
Set [Settings > Face ID & Passcode] to [Turn on passcode].
After setting the passcode, log in again
After setting the passcode, when I open Google Calendar...
The calendar icon was flicking around as usual! Impressed! Of course, I was able to confirm login to Gmail as well! !
As written, it seems that the passcode was the cause.
summary
What I didn't realize right away was, "Are you unable to log in because you turned off your passcode?"
① Even after I turned off my iPhone's passcode, this message did not appear immediately.
② I didn't close the apps I opened on my iPhone every day, and when I decided to close them and restart them, Google Calendar was no longer displayed.
I didn't read the displayed notification (you need to set a passcode) properly
④ I couldn't find a solution article ⑤ I was
unable to log in to my Google account due to the settings on my iPhone. I didn't think so
⑥ I underestimated the smartness of G Suite
is the main cause.
He kindly wrote the error message, so I'll have to read it carefully from now on. Also, don't make assumptions, absolutely.
With this, I think I can continue to live a comfortable G Suite life.
If you have the same problem and haven't solved it, please refer to it!
