of corporate dedicated network line services (Internet lines, leased lines, closed networks, etc.) provided by Colt Technology Services Co. , (Information as of May 2019)
Overview of “Colt”
■ The only foreign-affiliated telecommunications carrier in Japan.
■ International network line service between Asia, America, and Europe.
Long-distance network, metro fiber, submarine/terrestrial leased line, connecting 29 countries on three continents, with a total distance of 187,000km
■ Network connectivity in over 200 cities with over 27,450 directly owned buildings.
■ Owns its own optical fiber network that does not go through NTT's central offices.
(However, NTT Dark Fiber is used at some last mile locations)
■ You can select low-latency, wide-band network lines from 1Gbps to 100Gbps.
■Ethernet, leased line, and closed network services.
(We do not provide best effort Internet VPN, only bandwidth-only services.)
■ All network backbones are redundant as standard.
■ Guaranteed SLA of 99.99% annual uptime and less than 1 hour of downtime.
■ Cloud PBX voice services are also available.
■ 24/7 network monitoring.

Network interconnection with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
, we will take as an example the network interconnection between Colt's Dedicated Interconnect and
between an on-premises environment and a public cloud environment
, or when sharing network bandwidth among multiple departments,

Colt is also connected to most GCP POP regions.

Two patterns of network interconnection
You can choose from two connection methods to interconnect the public cloud and network:
"Dedicated Interconnect" and "Shared Interconnect."
■ Dedicated Interconnect
- Dedicated 10G port type only for Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Provides cross-connect with Colt dedicated port
- Colt bandwidth: 1-2-5-10Gbps
- Same Multiple BGP sessions, VLANs, and multiple VPCs on a port
■ Shared type (Partner Interconnect)

Since Colt's network line mainly provides Ethernet/dedicated line services,
it seems that the cost will be higher than a cheap best-effort type network line, but it
