[Company system] I went to Okinawa using my refresh leave.

At Beyond, we have implemented 41 systems and improvements since September 2017
(and we will continue to increase this number).

One of these is a system called refreshment leave

The system works as follows: after five years of service,
the company will give you two weeks' vacation and a merit bonus (100,000 yen).

This system was established in November 2018, and at that point I had met the requirement of five years of continuous service, so I
decided to use it during my summer vacation this year. I was the first employee to do so.

After obtaining the license, I decided to go to Okinawa in the summer and began preparing

Expedia's strongest

I looked at various travel sites to try to reduce the cost of my trip even a little.
I think I looked at most of the travel sites that are currently available.
I also calculated the cost of both sites that only offer flights and sites that only offer hotels.

Among them, Expedia has the best value for money!! (This is just my personal opinion)

It was pouring rain at Kansai Airport, and to make matters worse, a typhoon was approaching Okinawa

The plane was delayed by an hour, and the person sitting next to me at McDonald's was telling me that the flight to Miyakojima had been cancelled, so we somehow managed to take off despite the dark clouds looming!

I slept soundly on the plane, and when I woke up I was relieved to see that the weather was clear

Okinawa Marriott, a drinker's paradise

The hotel we stayed at was the Okinawa Marriott Resort & Spa

I also received a service bonus from my company, so I splurged on a room on the executive floor

I thought the room would just be a little nicer, but when I went
I was surprised by the variety and content of the benefits.

One of them is the private lounge

There are two types of lounges: Ocean (no entry for those under 20) and Forest.
Meals, desserts, and several types of alcohol are always available at each lounge during the following times.

All of the drinks listed above are free of charge at the hotel pool

I was drinking beer in the morning, just casually drinking an Orion beer because I woke up thirsty

Our family of four ate and drank a fair amount of food and drinks, so
I think it would have been cheaper overall to stay in the executive room (although I don't know if that's actually the case).

Other perks are as follows:

• Valet parking (entry and exit service)
• Reservations for breakfast buffet seats (there are long lines at the restaurant in the morning)
• Late check-out (12:00)
• Free umbrellas and deck chairs on the nearby beach
• Other miscellaneous items

At night, there was a live sanshin performance on the bridge over the pool, and it was my first time experiencing the trendy night pool!!

It's worth visiting the Fukugi tree-lined street

I think the spot that most people go to when they go to Okinawa is the Churaumi Aquarium

Did you know that there is a spot called Fukugi Tree Avenue nearby?

By the way, I went to the Fukugi Tree Avenue on the second day and the aquarium on the fourth day, and I realized that the two spots are close to each other, thinking, "Didn't I pass this road the other day?"

It's so close!

This road continues for several kilometers and you can rent a bike

The nearby sea is also very beautiful

I recommend visiting the camphor tree avenue in the cool morning hours and then heading to the aquarium in the hot afternoon hours

The main theme of this trip was not only to entertain the children, but also to make my wife happy

I took care of the children myself, and my wife spent all her time hanging out in a lounge that was off-limits to people under the age of 20

It was quite difficult, but I was able to complete it thoroughly, so I was very satisfied. (Although I fell asleep on the third day.)

I was able to take this trip thanks to the company that created the system, and the team members and engineers who worked on my behalf. I am truly grateful
