[AZ-900] I am in charge of public relations recruitment, and I passed the Microsoft Azure Fundamentals exam.
My name is Kai Fujisawa, and I'm in charge of public relations and recruitment, and I have pimples on my forehead after playing too much Origami King on the Nintendo Switch.
passed the Microsoft Azure certification " AZ-900: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals "
▼I didn't pass the first time...(I probably made one mistake until I passed)
▼I managed to pass the second time with 800 over.
AZ-900 is the most basic qualification regarding Azure.
If you acquire knowledge about cloud concepts and explanations of Azure services, you can take the exam even if you have no practical experience.
For this AZ-900, if you attend the free webinar for 2 days, you will receive a voucher! !
I think it's pretty amazing that the 13,750 yen course fee is now free.
Webinar information is posted on Microsoft's official Twitter account from time to time, so if you are interested, please join us.

This time, I will explain how to study AZ-900 by a non-engineer
Author's specs
- Public relations/recruitment officer (no practical experience as an engineer)
- Of course I have never touched Azure.
- Obtained AWS Cloud Practitioner certification
How to study AZ-900
1. See comparison article with AWS
Since I still had some knowledge of AWS Cloud Practitioner, I first read an article comparing Azure services with AWS services to learn more about Azure services.
It was much easier than trying to understand it from scratch because I could think of it in my head as AWS's S3 is Azure's Blob Storage.
At this point, I felt that Azure had more detailed information about AI-related services than AWS.
2. Attend the webinar
I participated for the voucher.
To be honest, I didn't study anything when I took this webinar, but the instructor explained the exam scope in a very easy-to-understand manner, so I learned about the term "availability set" that I had never heard before, and about the German region. , I was able to get it into my head right away.
We also talked about network-related and security-related topics, but there will be deeper questions on this part of the exam, so I recommend re-checking them on Learning Path.
3. Read the official learning path
Be sure to read “Azure Basics.”
Although the number is a bit large, there are small questions for each module, so you can check your knowledge one by one.
It's dangerous to think you understand something just by reading it, so I'm glad there are small questions.
4. Browse articles by successful applicants
I was worried that I would pass the exam just by reading the "Azure Basics" learning path.
When I looked into how other successful candidates had studied, I found an article that I was very grateful for.
Article I want to be grateful for ①
AZ-900: took and passed Microsoft Azure Fundamentals
This author has published AZ-900-Collection
I was satisfied with reading "Azure Basics", but then I realized that I had other problems like this! ? I realized that.
Read this " AZ-900-Collection
Article I want to be grateful for ②
[Azure] AZ-900 exam scope has been organized
You can definitely read this.
The exam scope is described in incredible detail.
In my case, I was weak in the "Understanding Security, Privacy, Compliance, and Trust" section, so I just read the modules listed in this article before retaking the exam.
Without these two articles, I would never have passed the exam.
Thank you very much to the authors.
5. I just play Udemy
I was still worried about how to prepare for the exam if I only solved the short questions on the learning path.
When I took AWS, I was able to pass the exam by doing a lot of work on Udemy, so I was wondering if Azure was available as well, but I discovered this one
There are 5 practice tests, each with 55 questions.
I did this thoroughly until I was able to get 90% of the answers correct, and it also gave me practice reading the translated Japanese question sentences.
There are many questions that are similar (or the same) to those asked in the actual exam, so I think you'll have a better chance of passing if you do it on Udemy.
What we learned from this test
- Once again, engineers are amazing! ! I felt that
- I thought that the region type, fee structure, etc. differ depending on the cloud.
- I realized that it is necessary to make full use of so many services in order to design, construct, operate, and maintain a cloud server.
Just because I got the qualification doesn't mean I can use Azure at all, but there are so many services even just under the cloud! I think it was worth studying just knowing that.
Now that I have acquired basic level qualifications for AWS and Azure, I am considering what kind of cloud to study next.
However, my main job is public relations, so I think it's time to learn more about BtoB marketing.
This is the experience of passing AZ-900 by a non-engineer!
