What is a tent sauna?

A tent sauna , as the name suggests, is a tent that has been turned into a sauna. Inside a heat-resistant tent, aromatic water is poured over sauna stones heated by a wood-burning stove, and the evaporated hot air heats the inside of the tent (rolyu) to enjoy the sauna experience.

It's great to be able to soothe in a sauna at a regular hot bath facility, but I think the best thing about tent saunas is that you can soothe in the middle of nature

Cool down in a cold river instead of taking a cold bath. Then, take a bath in the open air while feeling the great outdoors. yes. It's already the best! !

What is SAUNA STATION?

Now, I have the pleasure of visiting SAUNA STATION , a husband and wife team that runs a tent sauna experience and out-call tent sauna in Inagawa-cho, Kawabe-gun, Hyogo Prefecture, on the border between Hyogo and Osaka prefectures. We also rent out tent saunas, which many people use when camping.

The temperature inside the tent sauna was around 90℃.

This time, we visited with 10 people.

It felt like it could fit up to 13 people if they were packed together.

We have prepared two cold baths, one for one person and one for several people.

I didn't have a thermometer, so I can only get a feel for it, but since it was a simple cold bath, I think it was around 20 degrees.

river temperature

Up to two people can cool down their whole body while lying down. The temperature of the river was July, so it felt a little colder than the water bath (around 20 degrees).

Also, the view of nature while lying on the river was very soothing.

It was my first time experiencing a tent sauna, and to say the least, it was amazing.

It was my first time to experience being surrounded by nature, so I was impressed by how pleasant it felt.

Also, the owner, Mr. Koyama, who is also a heat wave master, sent out intense heat waves to Bon Jovi's It's My Life, which was great entertainment! !
