Hello. This is Komatsu from public relations.
The days are starting to feel hot, and summer is slowly approaching.
This time I would like to talk a little bit about internal communication!
What is internal communication?
Internal communication refers to the sharing of opinions and information and communication between employees within the same organization. Communication in a company is not just necessary for getting along. It is necessary for employees to work smoothly, and it also plays an important role in helping employees cooperate with each other and work while enhancing teamwork.
Additionally, internal communication helps share the organization's direction and culture. Therefore, internal communication has become one of the most important elements for a company's growth and development.
Benefits of activating internal communication

Key points to revitalize internal communication
・Regardless of department or location, the entire company is
working on this.Rather than just one person working in a particular department, work on the entire company and make it a part of the corporate culture.
・Create opportunities for employees to get to know each other
Create points of contact between employees, and engage in mutual interaction while getting to know each other.
・If you start something that you want to continue doing over the long term
, don't quit right away and continue.
Beyond initiatives ①
So, what is Beyond doing to revitalize communication? I would like to introduce two.
The first one is " Greetings" . It's not a special initiative at all! We apologize for any inconvenience caused. Although this is not a special initiative at all, I believe it is extremely important for revitalizing internal communication.
Before we talk more about greetings, let's take a look back at Beyond's core values.
Beyond's core values are communication , speed, and hospitality
Of course, all three are important, but the one that Beyond values most "communication .
I think there are many ways to communicate, but at Beyond, we place great importance on greetings
Isn't that normal for working people? Many people may think so, but are you really able to do it?
At Beyond, the employees' greetings are loud.
loud and refreshing as anyone else's .
I don't think there are many people who feel uncomfortable when someone greets them. According to Haraoka, the representative, greetings are meant to express intent, saying, ``I recognize you!''
At Beyond, greetings are commonplace, but I feel this is because it is ingrained in the company's culture, rather than being forced to do so.
Greetings are a form of communication, and a lively greeting will improve the overall atmosphere of the company and make other forms of communication easier.
Be proactive in your greetings Isn't this an initiative that you can start from today, even right now, with a little effort?
Beyond initiatives ②
Beyond has an organization called the Organizational Culture Committee
The Organizational Culture Committee is a committee created to improve Beyond's organization, and is responsible for planning and managing internal exchange events.
Various projects are held every season, allowing employees to interact with each other. A while ago, a White Day project and a cherry blossom viewing project were held. (The photo below is from the White Day project)
Having a place for internal exchange like this allows you to communicate with people you don't normally interact with in your work. Thank you to everyone at the Organizational Culture Committee!
Summary of other Beyond initiatives
・Free address
・Club activity system
・Monthly general meeting
・Monthly in-house study session
There are various other initiatives as well.
We are also introducing it on the blog below, so please take a look!
summary
Since the coronavirus pandemic, working from home has become the norm, and I think some companies are facing communication issues.
There are various efforts to revitalize communication, but there is no absolute correct answer. This is because it changes depending on the company, the era, and the situation at the time.
There are many benefits to having active internal communication at work, so why not take this opportunity to rethink about internal communication?
