table of contents
Hello! This is Komatsu from Public Relations. We'd like to share some photos from the Beyond Study Session (Biyo-Ben) that we held recently. On Thursday, May 30th, 2024, we held our 41st study session with the theme of " Disclosure of Training Content for New Graduate Engineers ."
First of all, what is Beyond Study Group (Biyoben)?
This is an IT study group community run by Beyond
We aim to create a learning environment where engineers, programmers, directors, and others involved in the fields of "cloud services" and "web content" can connect with speakers who are active in these areas . Even if you're not familiar with the IT/Web industry or have never participated in a study group before, you're more than welcome!
Please rest assured that there are always people who are participating for the first time or who come alone
■ Examples of past events
•Technical study session on developing with ChatGPT [In-person event]
•Technical study session on AWS construction and development [In-person event]
•[Live streaming] AWS server construction time trial
We hold study sessions on a variety of topics, so if there is a topic that interests you, we would be happy if you would join us
Overview of the study group
This time, we held a study session on training for new graduate engineers in a hybrid format , combining offline and online activities
At Beyond, we provide a three-month training program for new graduate infrastructure and web development engineers after they join the company
We also provide practical role-playing training to help trainees master everything from network basics to server construction and operation utilizing multi-cloud services, with a focus on the Linux OS, which is widely used on various servers. Furthermore, our system development training includes basic PHP lectures and practical development exercises in building systems using PHP and MySQL
At this study session, we talked about actual engineering training curricula and initiatives for education personnel who are worried about training new graduate engineers, and for those who would like to hear about engineer training at other companies
Furthermore, for this study session , we invited Mr. Yamashita from Trenocate Co., Ltd. , who is active as a technical education engineer and has produced AWS certification exam textbooks, as our guest speaker
Scenes from the study session
The two speakers at this workshop are:
◇ Trenocate Co., Ltd.: Mr. Mitsuhiro Yamashita
◇ Beyond Co., Ltd.: Yuki Teraoka

Mitsuhiro Yamashita of Trainocate "Seven principles for studying AWS"
We asked him about the things he values and the key points he focuses on when conducting training
In Mr. Yamashita's talk, the phrase "outputting only brings benefits" was particularly memorable. He said that outputting helps organize one's thoughts and leads to a correct understanding, so it made me realize again that outputting not only large-scale output but also small things is important.

Beyond's Yuki Teraoka "Beyond's Initiatives for New Graduate Engineer Training"
Beyond is currently conducting training for new graduates, and Teraoka is involved in training engineers on a daily basis as the leader in charge of education. In addition to interactions between members, the company as a whole is involved in training, valuing the culture of all members working together to develop new employees, from practical training to absorbing the knowledge and skills necessary for the job

Finally
Thank you very much to everyone who participated in Biyo-Ben.
This time, it was held in a hybrid format, combining offline and online elements.
Beyond regularly holds "Beyond Study Groups (Biyo-ben)" both offline and online. We hope to continue holding study groups through Biyo-ben so that we can meet many people in the future!
The schedule for the next Biyo Benten, the 42nd one, has not yet been decided, but we will let you know as soon as it is decided
So, please look forward to the next Biyoben!
