A new start as the Innovation Strategy Department! Introduction to the Marketing Department

Hello everyone. This is P-Koma from the Public Relations department
As of March 2025, the name of the department I work for will be changing! The original name was "Web Services Division," but the new name is "Innovation Strategy Division." That sounds pretty cool, doesn't it?
Introduction to the two lessons
The Innovation Strategy Department consists of the following two sections:

- Marketing Department

This time, I would like to introduce the Marketing Department to which I belong
Before that
First of all, I was curious about the background behind why the department was named the " Innovation Strategy Department ," so I asked my boss!
The predecessor, the Web Services Division, was primarily responsible for the company's own services (the reservation system EDISONE and the external monitoring system Appmill ), but in 2024 a new Marketing Department was added. Since the Marketing Department is a team that handles company-wide marketing rather than just marketing the company's own services, it appears they considered changing the department name to something more appropriate.
In addition, with the desire to have a department that also creates new services, the name has now been changed to Innovation Strategy Department
What is the Marketing Department?
marketing is "the creation, provision, and dissemination of value through products, services, etc." based on the new definition updated by the Japan Marketing Association
However, even when it comes to marketing, I think the content and goals that each company is working on are different. Basically, the goal of marketing activities at Beyond is to acquire leads that lead to sales (and sometimes lead to recruitment). To that end, we work every day with the determination to try anything that seems possible
Our main work involves website-related tasks (creating new service pages, updating announcements, rewriting websites, creating case studies, SEO optimization), planning and holding study sessions and co-hosted seminars, sending out e-mail newsletters, placing Google ads, exhibiting at trade shows, posting on social media (X, YouTube, Facebook, etc.), creating press releases, media relations, and proposing projects to the media, but we also undertake a variety of other initiatives
Our goal in our daily work is to get more people to recognize Beyond, get them interested in it, and have them take some kind of action
Additionally, at Beyond, all employees are involved in blogging, which is also part of our marketing efforts. We have a variety of technical and non-technical blog articles, so please take a look!

Marketing activities often require us to ask for help and cooperation from other departments. We want to receive information and updates on the company's various activities, so we are conscious of communication. And because we ask for a lot of cooperation, we work every day with the desire to cooperate as much as possible
Although the marketing department is small, we will continue to work together as a team to take on various challenges and strive to make Beyond known to as many people as possible
