This is Komatsu from Public Relations!
In April, we welcomed new members to Beyond, significantly increasing our team size. Please check out our blog post about the induction ceremonyhere!
Following the COVID-19 pandemic, remote work became commonplace, and many companies now offer full remote work arrangements. Conversely, now that the pandemic is over, some companies are prohibiting full remote work. Beyond does not offer full remote work; instead, wea hybrid systememploy
One of the reasons we value coming to the office is that wecommunication. Of course, we value daily communication and greetings, but in order to create opportunities to communicate with members from other departments whom we don't usually interact with, the Organizational Culture Committee plans events and holds regular company events.
The Organizational Culture Committeeis a committee established to improve the organization known as Beyond. It plans events and provides opportunities for members to communicate with each other, with a focus on fostering positive interpersonal relationships in the workplace. Incidentally, the Organizational Culture Committee is abbreviated as "Soshibun" within the company, and is currentlyits seventh term.
In April, two events were held as part of the Organizational Culture Committee
*The event is generally open to everyone
Beyond Quiz Tournament

The event was held in early April because 4/4 was Beyond's founding date and members of the Yokohama and Shikoku offices who are not usually in the Osaka office were in Osaka for the company's induction ceremony
The content of the quiz was to get participants to learn more about the company and its members, so we collected a variety of old information about Beyond and received ideas from the members that could be used in the quiz, and created a 20-question quiz, which participants competed in teams
All the teams competed well and it was a close match! I'm glad that the event turned out to be more exciting than I expected. The event organizers also gathered various topics to create the quiz, and there was a lot of new information to discover, which was a lot of fun!
Many of the events we hold on a regular basis are only open to members of the Osaka office, and there aren't many opportunities to hold events with members from other locations, so I personally felt that this was a valuable opportunity
Cherry blossom viewing
This year, the cherry blossoms were late in blooming, so the timing for cherry blossom viewing was perfect, and we were nervous about whether the weather would allow us to go outside or indoors

However, it ended up raining, so the event was held indoors. Beyond has a shared space, so everyone had fun eating pizza and hors d'oeuvres there. Incidentally, last year's event was also held indoors due to rain. (Maybe we're cursed somehow?)
It was a good opportunity to communicate with members I don't usually interact with and new graduates
We'd like to introduce some of the events that took place before April! During the 7th term of the Organizational Culture Committee, we held a Christmas party and a New Year's event
Christmas Party
Everyone enjoyed Christmas while eating cake and chicken. Everyone brought a gift and participated in the event, with a roulette to decide who to exchange gifts with. Everyone had a great time
By the way, I received a gift set of drip coffee packets, which I was very happy about as I love coffee!!!

New Year's Events
In true New Year's spirit,we ate oshiruko (sweet red bean soup), did a mock calligraphy session, andplayed MultiCloud Karuta (a cloud-based card game created by Beyond for internal learning). It seemed like it had been a while since everyone had done calligraphy, and you could feel the tension in their hands as they held the brushes.

summary
The Organizational Culture Committee will enter its seventh term in November 2023, and although half of the term has already passed, we have continued to carry out regular activities in this way throughout the seventh term
All of the events introduced here are planned and implemented by the Organizational Culture Committee, which holds regular meetings to consider what kind of events would make members want to participate and enjoy themselves
As the number of people at Beyond has increased, there are probably some members from other departments with whom you have little contact, but I hope that you will be able to build better relationships by communicating through various events
We are currently planning further events after May, so as the Organizational Culture Committee we hope to work hard to prepare so that we can create opportunities for communication between members
We will be sharing more details about upcoming events in the second half of this article, so stay tuned!
