Thank you for your support.
This is Inu from the System Solutions Department.
The other day, the Organizational Culture Committee (commonly known as Soshibun) graduated.
What is the Organizational Culture Committee?
The Organizational Culture Committee is a committee created to improve Beyond as an organization. It plans events with the aim of creating pleasant working relationships, and provides opportunities for members to communicate with each other. Incidentally, the Organizational Culture Committee is abbreviated to "Soshibun" within the company, and is currently in its seventh term.

What's interesting about this season is that it's the first time in Soshibun's history that it's been formed with members from multiple locations.
Until now, it was only made up of members from Osaka and Yokohama, but this season, members were selected from the Yokohama and Shikoku offices.
Our slogan for the 8th term is "Invigorating the organization across the boundaries between bases .
Were they actually able to overcome the barriers between bases?
Let's find out together by adding points between bases.
Event Details
December Christmas Event

Inter-base points ★★★★☆
The first event to commemorate the formation of the 8th Soshibun was
a Christmas event At this event, Osaka and Yokohama were connected in real time via Zoom, and everyone shared cake and pizza while exchanging gifts between the two locations.
Regarding the gift exchange, we struggled with how to overcome the distance between bases. In the end, we decided to have all members draw lots, and exchange gifts with people with the same number tag. If they were matched with someone based in a different location, we would have a business trip person deliver the gift
As it was the first time, it took a long time to cut the cake and we had a lot of trouble recording the number tags, so it was an event with many things to reflect on, but now it is a fond memory
It was unfortunate that there were no participants from Shikoku, so the base points will be 4 stars
January Multi-Cloud Karuta & New Year's Calligraphy Event

Inter-base points ★★★★★
The second event, which we took on after overcoming various points of reflection, was a multi-cloud karuta and calligraphy event
What is Multi-Cloud Karuta?
Multi-Cloud Karuta is a game that Beyond specializes in, where various multi-cloud services are arranged like karuta, allowing you to enjoy the cloud in a game-like manner!
Specifically, we have selected about 30 services from each of the three major clouds - AWS, Azure, GCP, Alibaba Cloud, and OCI - and created a karuta-style game.
Source: [Multi-Cloud Karuta] Learn about cloud services while having fun! In-house practice edition
The karuta tournament was held at three locations: Osaka, Yokohama, and Shikoku.
Like the Christmas event, each location was connected in real time via Zoom, and mixed-team matches were held between members from each location, with teams competing to see who could capture the most karuta cards.
This was the first time that members from Shikoku participated in the event, and ☆OkaRin☆ acted as the game master and read out the haiku

The calligraphy events were held at our Osaka, Yokohama, and Shikoku bases.
At each base, a temporary calligraphy space was set up, and employees were asked to write their calligraphy on the theme of " one kanji character that represents this year. " Their works were then exhibited in an open space at each base.
We also scanned the works and posted them on our company's event page so that they could be viewed across different locations
It was an event that was overflowing with the individuality of the members from each base, so we're giving it 5 stars
February Beyond Thanksgiving Festival

Inter-base points ★★★★★
February marks the end of the year for our company, Beyond (the year at Beyond ends in February and starts in March).
we held the Beyond Thanksgiving Festival which is a chance to express our gratitude to the people who help us out on a daily basis
For the Beyond Thanksgiving Festival, we set up a Google Form, where people could select the people they wanted to express their gratitude to and send their messages anonymously. The
many thank you messages we received were beautifully designed in Canva, laminated, placed in envelopes, and dropped off in each member's locker.
This may have been an extremely rare event held at all bases since the formation of the 8th Soshibun.
Messages of gratitude were not only sent to Osaka, Yokohama, and Shikoku, but also across the ocean to Canada and China. (This was also made possible with the cooperation of those who traveled on business.)
I believe this was a good opportunity for communication between members from different bases who don't usually have much contact with each other, so I'm giving it 5 stars
March: Game Tournament x Alcohol Consumption Party

Inter-base points ★☆☆☆☆
For our March event, we held a
gaming tournament and alcohol consumption party The Beyond Osaka office has a bar counter, and we had some alcohol left over, so we decided to bring our Switches, play games, drink alcohol, eat snacks, and have a great time!
For gaming, there was one Switch device on each of the three tables, and it was an interesting space where you could play a different game at each table! (Depending on the table, it was different: Power Pro, Smash Bros., Mario Kart, etc.)
We also prepared a separate introdon project, and everyone did an introdon together!
We gathered a wide range of songs, from popular songs to old songs, so it was a big hit ♪
It was a fun event, but it was only held in Osaka, so I'll give it 1 star (´;ω;`)
April: Cherry blossom viewing

Inter-base points ★★★☆☆
In April, when the cherry blossoms bloom, Beyond Members were able to realize their
viewing event This cherry blossom viewing event is actually an annual tradition, but it has been postponed for the past few years due to cancellations caused by COVID-19 and poor weather.
Given the above circumstances, failure was not an option, so we made thorough preparations, checking the cherry blossom blooming period and weather forecast in advance, adjusting shifts, reserving and picking up pizza, hors d'oeuvres, and alcohol, and reserving a spot in the park on the day
On the day, we enjoyed a fun event, eating delicious food, talking and drinking while watching the cherry blossoms at night on a blue tarp
In addition, Yokohama members who had come to Osaka for the company entrance ceremony on April 1st and new graduate members who were participating in the event for the first time also joined the event, making it a huge success
May Werewolf Game Event

Inter-base points ★★★★☆
we held an online Werewolf game
The event overview is that participants will use a browser game called Werewolf Online and connect to meet from their preferred location, such as their office or home, to play the Werewolf game!
In addition, since this event was held online after work, we were able to use the online drinking party subsidy system to purchase alcohol and snacks up to 1,500 yen per person! (I bought a banh mi via Uber ☆彡)
With participants from Osaka and Yokohama, it was a heated Werewolf game that transcended bases!
June Bowling Tournament

Inter-base points ★★★☆☆
June is the month when Beyond holds its annual bowling tournament .
Just like last year, this year's event was held at Round1's bowling venue.
This year, the event was held simultaneously at our Yokohama base, and although we were physically distanced, we were able to enjoy bowling at the same time on the same day
With a carefully considered power balance, teams of three competed against each other for the highest total score. The
top three teams with the highest scores received special prizes from the Soshibun members.
I hope to get a better score next year.
Since the event was held only in Osaka and Yokohama, I will give it 3 stars.
July Beyond Sports Day & Tanabata Event

Inter-base points ★★★★☆
In July, we held two events
Beyond
Sports Day after winning the fierce lottery to use the Osaka Municipal Naniwa Sports Center!
Based on the results of a survey, we decided on basketball, volleyball, and futsal, which were all feasible. 🏀🏐⚽
Although the event was only held in Osaka, it was a great way to get some exercise, as I am seriously lacking in exercise due to my daily desk work!!
Tanabata event☆彡
For this event, each base prepared strips of paper and asked people to write their wishes on them.
We also set up a Google Form, which allowed people from Canada to participate, making this an event that transcended the boundaries between bases.
Your various wishes are published on our internal website called Beyond Portal!
The Tanabata event had participants from Osaka, Yokohama, Shikoku, and even across the ocean from Canada, so we're giving it 4 stars!
August Beyond Photo Contest

Inter-base points ★★★★★
As many people take their summer vacation in August, we held
a photo contest with a summer We asked everyone to submit their summer photos, and the rankings were determined by voting!
The winning entries from the contest are as follows:
🎇Top three works with the most votes🎇 🥇1st
place: Summer vegetables
🥈 2nd place: Tamaya
🥉 3rd place: Sparklers
We received lots of lovely summery photos and
had participants from various locations, so we give it 5 stars!!!
September: Beyond Workation Day

Inter-base points ★★☆☆☆
we held a big event, the first of its kind in Soshibun's history, the
☆Beyond Workation Day☆ utilizing the workation system🔥
What is workation? It's
a way of spending time on vacation while working by utilizing telework in tourist destinations and resort areas.
Beyond also has this wonderful system, but
it has not been put to good use, so the event was held using the workation system.
For this workation,
we borrowed the Osaka Prefectural Youth Nature House, worked in the morning, and used paid leave in the afternoon to go mountain climbing and have a campfire! It
was a great event where we could work with members who we don't usually have the opportunity to interact with during work hours, and communicate while being soothed by nature.
In fact, we had planned to hold the event in Yokohama as well, but due to various circumstances it was cancelled and
this time it was held only in Osaka, so the base points will be 2 stars...
October BBQ

Inter-base points ★★★★☆
was
a BBQ in October Like the cherry blossom viewing and bowling tournament, the BBQ is an annual event, and is an important event that marks the end of Soshibun's year.
This year's BBQ was held at Jungle Namba, which is very close to our company.
This was an outdoor venue, with multiple tents with seven people each sharing a BBQ grill.
The meat grill masters in each tent worked hard to grill the meat, and everyone enjoyed some delicious meat.
We also held a BBQ at our Yokohama base that same week, where a small but friendly group enjoyed meat and drinks
Because the event was held in both Osaka and Yokohama, and because members from Yokohama and Shikoku came to Osaka on business trips, we will give it a 4-star rating between bases☆彡
Other initiatives
Office Tour

As a member of the 8th Soshibun group, we have always placed the utmost importance on communication between our bases. we created an office tour page
Also, since I was on a business trip to Canada this year, we also conducted an office tour in Canada
Unfortunately, these pages are not open to the public, but they are very high quality introduction pages for each of our locations, so we hope that many people will take a look at them someday
Outdoor cleaning

This initiative was limited to the Osaka office, but we conducted outdoor cleaning
I would be very happy if I could contribute even a little to improving the environment around the office
summary

The Organizational Culture Committee will enter its eighth term in November 2024, and following on from its seventh term, it has been able to carry out very energetic activities
communication one of Beyond's core values , the Organizational Culture Committee will continue to work to build better relationships between members across departments and locations.
Well then, thank you for your hard work
this past year! We look forward to seeing more from the 9th generation of Soshibun!!
