Beyond Inc. (headquarters: Osaka City) will begin accepting applications for "virtual interviews" for new graduate recruitment for 2026 graduating students from Monday, February 3, 2025. By reducing the amount of information that interviewers need to know about job-seekers (hereinafter referred to as "job-seekers"), interviews will be conducted with an emphasis on inner qualities, eliminating preconceptions

As the number of companies promoting diversity increases against the backdrop of a declining working population, the globalization of companies, and the diversification of workers and working styles, it is becoming increasingly difficult to hire diverse talent using traditional recruitment methods alone, and companies are being called upon to adopt flexible recruitment strategies that adapt to changing circumstances

I believe that placing importance on diversity means understanding each person's inner self and past experiences, which will lead to the realization of diversity in the truest sense

Therefore, in order to recruit new talent that fits our company philosophy, culture, and values, we will be conducting "virtual interviews."

What is a virtual interview?

At our company, we call interviews conducted without meeting face-to-face, using avatars to hide the face, a "virtual interview." Rather than simply hiding the face, we minimize information about the job seeker, allowing for an unbiased, flat interview

Why conduct virtual interviews?

To date, we have undertaken a variety of recruitment methods, including holding company information sessions using online games, producing and releasing game-based recruitment content, and even virtual interviews and metaverse interviews

We are implementing virtual interviews to provide an opportunity to meet people who are interested in our unique recruitment methods and willing to take on the challenge, aspiring engineers who have a strong interest in new technologies, and people who enjoy communicating and expressing their individuality even while their faces are hidden

In previous virtual interviews, we focused on the inner qualities of job seekers and hired candidates who sympathized with our company philosophy and values. By establishing virtual interviews as a standard recruitment method for our company in addition to regular selection, we aim to give job seekers the freedom to choose the method that best suits their abilities

Beyond's official mascot appears as an interviewer

Our company has conducted multiple virtual interviews to date, and in order to continue using virtual interviews as a standard method of hiring new graduates, we have created a special avatar to act as the interviewer. Sabano Miru, who was born as Beyond's official mascot in January 2025, will act as the interviewer for the virtual interviews
