We interviewed Mr. Koinouchi, President's Office Director and CIO, Director of Shuwa Co., Ltd. and Director of the Corporate Planning Office, about his impressions of introducing Beyond's services
Please tell us how you came to use Beyond's server support
● Mr. Koinouchi:
As the scale of the system they were operating grew, operational concerns such as security and maintenance arose. Specifically, they decided to launch a new e-commerce site, which required infrastructure development, and their in-house servers were aging and needed to be replaced
Because e-commerce sites handle customers' personal information, security must be given the utmost consideration. However, there were not enough personnel to devote to server management, so even though operations were managed in-house, outsourcing server management and operation was essential
In-house servers not only require the provision of equipment, but also involve issues of cost and facilities, so we were looking for a server company that could provide advice on various matters, including customization and maintenance, and we were introduced to Beyond Server Support
What do you think of Beyond's server support proposal?
● Mr. Koinouchi:
As they pride themselves on their flexibility in "customizing services for each customer," they proposed the optimal network for our company with optional configurations that were not standard. For the server environment for our e-commerce site, they also provided 24/7 operation, maintenance, and monitoring services
If there is a problem or failure in the system, we can contact them via chat tool, even late at night, which makes it very smooth to understand the problem and share progress. Also, since security was a major priority this time, we are grateful for the detailed support they provided, including IPS, virus checks, VPN, security diagnostics, and regular updates
Regarding the in-house servers, we received several suggestions to reduce management and operational costs after replacing the equipment. One of them was virtualization using Hyper-V, a feature of Windows Server 2008, which allowed us to virtualize without incurring any additional costs

This was the first time I'd worked with a server company that was easy to consult with and ask questions about, and that responded flexibly, which really impressed me.
