Beyond hosted a study session on games

This is Nakauchi from the Technical Sales Department
Recently, I have been doing a lot of business with game companies, and most of my sales are to game companies
Therefore, we would like to host game-related study sessions about four times a year
This time I will write about the first study session
Depending on the theme, you don't need to attract customers
The theme of the study session was"Failure Teachers from Game Companies" - Behind the Scenes of Game Development/Operation and Stories of Failures.
DoorkeeperandConnpassI created an event onFacebookresulted in it being oversubscribed.
We hardly do any promotion to attract customers.
There seems to be a lot of interest in gaming-related topics.

Speaker introduction

The first session will of Okeya Co., Ltd. feature Atsushi Yoshida, Representative Director and CTO
" Majo no Oshigoto What I learned the hard way from developing and operating
, they shared some examples of failures they experienced in operating their own title, "Majo no Oshigoto."

The second session will of F-Frees Co., Ltd. feature Takaya Matsui, President and CEO
The topic was "the problem that there are far too many things about social game operation that we thought we knew but didn't," and
we discussed operational and planning aspects, but the content was absolutely impossible to write about here.

The third session will of Beyond Co., Ltd. , our company's representative.
The presentation, titled "Five Things You Shouldn't Do in Game Server Operations: Case Studies of Failure," was quite blunt and self-deprecating.
As someone from Beyond, I was worried whether it was really okay to go that far...
thoughts
I haven't written anything about the content of the conversation, but even if I wanted to, I couldn't.
It was that dangerous of a conversation.
The theme this time is failure, but all three companies basically don't fail.
I'm just showing some of the few rare cases where they happened to fail. (No, seriously!)
After each session, we had a casual get-together, which allowed me to make some new acquaintances.
I think we should continue these study sessions, but coming up with new topics is quite challenging.
Anyway, the next theme has been decided
The themeUnity. It's something related to Unity.
The event is scheduled for May
