Three benefits of blogging

I'm Ito, an infrastructure engineer and member of the web marketing team
We decided to focus more on marketing at Beyond, and
this blog is one of the ways we're doing that.
It's been a little over a year since I started this blog, and there are now over 200 articles that I hope will be useful to you
At our company, not only the infrastructure team, but also the development and sales teams are involved in operations, so
we have a variety of articles about problems they encounter, as well as articles related to development and sales.
The reason we decided to start a blog is,
of course, because we want to let more people know about our company, Beyond.
However, if that's all you're doing, some people might feel like you're only doing it for the company's sake, and that it's
not really helping you personally, which can be a bit disheartening.
So, by writing a blog, I will write about things that will be beneficial to me
The ability to organize
When I read various texts,
I often come across writing that is roundabout, difficult to understand, or where I can't figure out what the author is trying to say in the end... It leaves me feeling somewhat confused.
When writing a blog, you only need to focus on the title.
If you don't write directly about the title (if you digress into other topics),
readers will think, "I wanted to know about the title," and leave the page.
This means that you need to be concise in what you want to communicate
- How much background does this story need?
- How deep will you dig? (Who is your target audience?)
- How many main points are there?
If you think about these things while writing your blog, you
'll naturally be able to summarize things concisely.
This ability to organize information is especially
valuable in the workplace when reporting to your boss or giving presentations to clients.
The ability to research
Our company, Beyond, primarily writes about infrastructure and development technologies.
When we publish information about these technologies in a public forum, we can't afford to write anything inaccurate.
If you provide incorrect information,
people who trust that information and act on it will suffer greatly, and they
'll end up thinking, "What kind of company is this?!"
When you put information out on the internet,
you can't imagine how far that information will spread.
This is the age when PPAP can appeal to Justin Bieber. You never know what's going to happen.
With that mindset, you'll naturally "verify" the information you share.
For example, when introducing a command, you'll not only try it yourself, but
you'll also research it using the `man` command, or look it up online.
Even if an article is titled "I messed up, but this is how I handled it,"
you'll likely start wondering if that was the best way to handle it, or if there was a better way.
When you research something, what you find out will become your strength
Writing ability
I don't think there's much writing to do at work (although it depends on the job)
It's hard to write a report if you're suddenly asked to, right?
Because you don't usually do the things I've told you about,
it takes a long time to organize your thoughts, and you end up writing a lot of roundabout things.
This relates to the ability to organize information, but writing a summary in your own words
also helps to solidify that knowledge.
Also, you might find that writing down your thoughts, rather than just mulling them over in your head,
can help you come up with better ideas or gain a clearer perspective on the future. Writing has that kind of power.
However, if you don't usually write, you might find yourself
thinking, "I don't even know what to write."
summary
So, this article was meant to reduce the barriers to writing a blog.
When you're working, it's often the case that you don't have time to write a blog because your work takes up all your time! But
if you think that writing can be used to benefit your work, it might motivate you to write a little more.
We will be updating the Beyond blog frequently, so please continue to support us
