Enjoy Canadian summer! Introducing summer events held in Toronto
table of contents
nice to meet you! This is my first post on Beyond Blog, and I'm TK, an engineer working in our Canadian office.
Now, when you think of Canada, you may have the image of a "cold country." Yes, that's correct. Snow begins to fall around November every year, and temperatures remain below zero until around April. . .
However, in summer, the temperature is not so high, the humidity is low, and the days are long, with maximum sunset at 9:30 p.m., making it very comfortable.
Since it's summer, there are a lot of events happening from June to September. This time, we will introduce carefully selected events that are held every year that everyone can enjoy!
Taste of the Danforth
Toronto's largest street festival is held every June. Held in Greektown on the east side of town, you can enjoy Greek food stalls, a traveling amusement park, street performances, and more. This is a famous event that marks the beginning of summer in Toronto.
Toronto also hosts a street festival named Taste of ~ that features various countries and regions throughout the summer.

TD Toronto Jazz Festival
A jazz festival that boasts a history of over 30 years and is held for 10 days from late June to early July every year. During the event, stages will appear on downtown streets and parks, many of which can be enjoyed for free. Musicians from the local Toronto scene, across Canada, and even internationally will perform.
Ribfest
A typical North American food festival where rib specialty restaurants that mainly serve pork ribs come together. Held every year from June to July at various locations in and around Toronto, you can enjoy ribs from famous restaurants from all over the place.
Enjoy summer under the sun with a beer in hand and bite into the meaty ribs!

Toronto Outdoor Picture Show
An outdoor movie screening event held in a park in Toronto. It is held in different locations several days every week from late June to September every year. Although voluntary donations are solicited, it is basically free and open to the public, and the films screened are rich in variety, from classics to recent hits.
It's a Toronto summer tradition that you can enjoy like a picnic!

Canadian National Exhibition (CNE)
Also known as CNE or The EX, it is a large-scale outdoor exhibition that concludes Toronto's summer. It has a long history and was first held in 1879. It is held from late August to early September every year.
In addition to attractions such as a merry-go-round and Ferris wheel, there will also be various shows such as street performances and live concerts, as well as many food stalls where you can eat food from around the world. On the last weekend of the event period, there is also an air show where planes perform acrobatics!
At the end
What do you think? Summer in Toronto is really exciting, and there are so many events that make you want to go out every day. We hope that the events introduced here will give you a sense of the atmosphere of Toronto, where our Canadian office is located.
