Hello! This is Komatsu from public relations.
We would like to share with you the details of the Beyond study session (Beyo Tsutomu) that was held the other day.
On Thursday, May 30, 2024, we held the 41st study session with the theme of Disclosure of training content for new graduate engineers
First of all, what is Beyond Study Group (Biyo Tsutomu)?
This is an IT study group community run by Beyond.
We aim to be a place where you can study with engineers, programmers, directors, and other people by inviting speakers who are active in the fields of ``cloud services'' and ``web content Those who are not familiar with the IT/web industry or have never participated in a study session are also welcome!
Don't worry, we always have people participating for the first time or on their own, so don't worry.
■ Examples of events held in the past
・Technology study session for developing with ChatGPT [Real event]
・Technology study session for AWS construction and development [Real event]
・[Live streaming] AWS server construction time trial
We hold study sessions on a variety of themes, so if you are interested in a topic, we would be happy if you could join us at least once.
Overview of the study session
This time, we held training for new graduate engineers offline/online hybrid format
At Beyond, we conduct training for new graduate infrastructure and web development engineers
Focusing on the Linux OS, which is widely used in various servers, we also conduct role-playing training with a focus on practical work, in order to learn everything from network basics to server construction and operation using multi-cloud services. In addition, system development training includes basic PHP lectures and development practice where students actually build systems using PHP and MySQL.
In this study session, we talked about the actual engineer training curriculum and initiatives for those in charge of education who are having trouble training new graduate engineers, and for those who would like to hear about other companies' engineer training.
we invited Mr. Yamashita of Trenocate Co., Ltd. , who is active as a technical education engineer and produces AWS certification exam texts, as a guest
Study session situation
The following two speakers will be present at this study session.
◇ Trenocate Co., Ltd .: Mr. Mitsuhiro Yamashita
◇ Beyond Co. .: Yuki Teraoka
Mr. Mitsuhiro Yamashita, Trenocate “7 principles for studying AWS”
We asked them to talk about what they value and focus on when conducting training.
In Mr. Yamashita's talk, I was struck by his words, Output can only bring benefits By outputting, you can organize your thoughts and come to a correct understanding, so this story made me realize once again that it is important not only to output big things, but also to output small things.
Beyond Yuki Teraoka “Beyond’s initiatives in new engineer graduate training”
At Beyond, new graduate training is currently underway, and Teraoka is involved in engineer training every day as the leader in charge of education. In addition to interaction between members, we are working on training throughout the company, including practical level training that absorbs the knowledge and skills necessary for work, while valuing a culture in which all members nurture new employees.
