[Self-Analysis] There's More Than Just One Personality? Seeing Yourself Change with 16 Personalities

Hello everyone! This is Sakashita, the recruitment manager

16Personalities which has been a hot topic on social media and among friends for a while now ?

Today I'd like to talk about "16Personalities," a tool that focuses on the multifaceted nature of personality and is perfect for deepening self-understanding

Personality tests aren't determined in one go. Results can change depending on the situation and your mood

If you could actually know what characteristics you and the people around you have,

You might be able to communicate better!

First of all, what is 16Personalities?

16Personalities is derived from the MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator), which was developed based on the theories of psychologist Carl Gustav Jung

This assessment uses 16 different personality types to analyze people's tendencies in thinking and behavior

Each personality type is determined by a combination of traits, such as extroversion (E) or introversion (I), sensing (S) or intuition (N), thinking (T) or feeling (F), and judging (J) or perceiving (P)

Specific strengths and weaknesses, interpersonal styles, and career aptitudes are detailed

It's convenient because you can do it online for free

Why is it important to know your personality type?

Knowing your personality type can help you understand what comes naturally to you and what you struggle with

For example, if you know you are an introvert, you will often find that you prefer spending time alone rather than being in a noisy group, and with this knowledge you will realize that there is no need to force yourself to change

Even at work, understanding the personalities of yourself and your colleagues will make working in a team much easier

Knowing someone's personality type can help you understand how to interact with them effectively

This is important to ensure everyone has a good working environment!

In other words, understanding your personality type is key to smoothing out your relationships with yourself and those around you

I actually tried it! (First diagnosis)

I tried the personality test on "16Personalities"

My initial test results showed that I was an ESFJ (Consular Type), meaning I am a sociable and caring supporter

This seems to be because I am the type of person who naturally accepts the support of friends and family. It is true that, due to the nature of my job, I often care about those around me, and I think I always work with the awareness that I want to be of help to others

Re-diagnosis after some time has passed! (2nd diagnosis)

It's been about two years since my last diagnosis, so I decided to get diagnosed again!

This time, the results were "ENFJ (protagonist type)" and "passionate and compassionate leader type."

Both of them are the type who value relationships with others, but it seems that over time, they have become more positive and more inclined to lead others

Personality tests are not just labels, they can also be an opportunity to learn about the various sides of yourself and others

By making use of it, you can build relationships more smoothly and enjoyably

What can we learn from the different results?

I thought that when the diagnosis results changed like this, it was an opportunity to look at myself from a slightly different angle

For example, when you were an ESFJ, you may have had a strong desire to be kind to those around you

And maybe when I was an ENFJ, I wanted to be more proactive and take the lead

You can recognize and accept the diversity within yourself

Through this diagnosis, you can gain a deeper understanding of yourself, learn about how you can grow in the future, and discover the various aspects of yourself, such as which personality traits are most prominent in which situations

I thought it was really interesting how easily I could feel my own growth and change!

summary

The "16Personalities" diagnosis is not just about analyzing yourself,

It was also a fun tool to discover how I was changing, and helped me understand myself better!

I felt that by understanding my own personality type, I would be able to work and build relationships more smoothly

Why not try the test a few times and see how it changes you at different times and in different situations?
