[China/Shanghai] Midsummer game festival ~ ChinaJoy 2024 ~ [Event Exhibition]
2024.08.12
Introduction
My name is Takajo from Beyond Shenzhen and I have been suffering from sciatica lately.
The other day, members of our Shenzhen office exhibited a booth and participated in ChinaJoy 2024, China's largest game and digital entertainment event I would like to report on the situation there.
Personally, I was looking forward to the event as it was my first time in Shanghai, so I hope that this article will take some interest in our activities and events.
● We will exhibit at ChinaJoy 2024, the largest game show in China.
We will exhibit at China's largest game show "ChinaJoy 2024"
What is ChinaJoy?
This event called " ChinaJoy " is held in Shanghai every year, and brings together companies in the game and entertainment industry, as well as companies that provide peripheral services related to games, as well as events and exchanges. This is a fairly large-scale event.
Of course, there were exhibitors and visitors from all over China and overseas, making this a very international event.
Event venue scene
In particular, while exhibiting at the booth this time, I felt that the companies at other booths were also engaged in global initiatives that were not just limited to China, and I got a real sense of the size of the market.
As I talked with people at several booths, I heard that there were a large number of companies that said they were already expanding overseas or had business with multiple overseas customers. That alone was quite stimulating.
Immediately after exchanging WeChat and business cards, messages were already coming in. It was a sense of speed that I could never get in Japan.
Also, as a matter of personal interest, there was a booth for měituán yóuxì, a gaming business run by měituán, a well-known food delivery company in China, which I often see in Japan. I was also able to talk to people who I don't have the chance to talk to.
After the event
This was ChinaJoy's first time participating as a company and as an individual, but even after the event, we received inquiries via WeChat and email, and we were able to make many connections through this event. I feel this is a huge accomplishment.
I would like to take advantage of this connection and Shenzhen I'm still learning Chinese, but next time I'd like to try my hand at communicating in Chinese!
