I joined the company through a virtual interview

Hello, this is Enoki from the System Development Department
I joined the company through a virtual interview for the 2023 graduates, which was held in 2022.
It's the season for virtual interviews again this year, so I took the opportunity to write an article about it.
What is a virtual interview?
At our company, we call interviews conducted without meeting face-to-face, using avatars to hide the face, a "virtual interview." Rather than simply hiding the face, we minimize information about the job seeker, allowing for an unbiased, flat interview
So, this interview doesn't ask any questions about "school/faculty/department/gender/age/address" and you don't even have to show your face.
It's an interview that you can take just by relying on your own personality.
If you're familiar with the internet, you're probably already wanting to take it.
I took a virtual interview
So, I decided to take the interview because it seemed really interesting.
Please note: I will reiterate that the interview I took was a virtual interview held in 2022.
It is not the current recruitment exam for new graduates graduating in 2026. Please keep this in mind.
As mentioned above, they don't ask the same questions as they would in a regular job interview.
So when I thought about how to make people feel that I was "highly interested in the company," I
thought that if I focused on the appearance, that would be conveyed to some extent, so I worked really hard on it.
However, some of the successful applicants in the virtual interviews relied more on their speaking ability than on the appearance.
We aim to enable job seekers to freely choose the method that best suits their abilities
He was successfully assigned to the sales department, so his individuality was well-represented.
I think it's quite unique for a job interview to be able to play only the cards you want to play.
What's more, it allows the interviewer to properly capture the true essence of the job seeker, eliminating bias.
When asked about my impressions of the interview, I
remember saying things like, "It was interesting. Thank you very much." It seemed like I was really taking a job interview.
Another great thing was that I was able to freely read the talk deck displayed on the secondary monitor.
This allowed me to organize my thoughts properly and approach the interview in a natural manner.
In any case, isn't it amazing that a company allows such freedom of style even during an interview?
Who should take a virtual interview?
I'm not saying that everyone is like this, but at least I was one of those people who was familiar with the internet.
I was used to communicating
without knowing each other's personal information and without even seeing each other's faces I felt that I was at an advantage.
If you interact with others online, I highly recommend taking this test.
You'll probably feel a little awkward and nervous when meeting someone for the first time over voice chat.
On the other hand, this means you can approach the interview by being yourself.
