Report on the job offer ceremony at an Osaka-based IT venture (2027 graduates)

Hello, this is Miyoshi from Beyond's recruitment team
This time, I'd like to tell you about the job offer ceremony that we held on Thursday, October 1st!
This year, we once again welcomed our prospective employees who will be working with us as Beyond employees starting next year, and held an orientation ceremony and social gathering
Some people may have a somewhat formal image of an employment offer ceremony.
At Beyond, we value not only ceremonies such as the presentation of employment offer certificates, but also time for prospective employees to deepen their interactions with each other and with current employees.
This time, we'll show you what this year's job offer ceremony was like, along with photos!
If you're a student wondering, "What kind of company is Beyond?", or if you're currently looking for a new job, or even if you're just curious about what other companies' job offer ceremonies are like, we hope you'll read this to the end
How many people will receive job offers from Beyond for the 2027 graduating class?
This year, seven new graduates will be joining Beyond.
The gender ratio is now 5 men and 2 women.
Since the prospective employees have already interacted with each other through previous get-togethers and other events, this job offer ceremony is not a first meeting for them.
As it was the first time in a while that all seven of them had seen each other, conversations started naturally as soon as they gathered at the venue, and the event began in a friendly atmosphere.
I'm so happy to see everyone I met through the recruitment process gradually getting to know each other better and preparing to join the company!
The venue where the job offer ceremony was held
This year, as with last year, we held our job offer ceremony at the Namba Skyo Convention Hall
The venue is directly connected to Nankai Namba Station and is just a few minutes' walk from Beyond's Osaka office, making it easily accessible
On the day of the event, both the prospective employees and the participating employees wore suits.
While Beyond usually has a casual work environment, everyone dressed a little more formally for the job offer ceremony.
Schedule for the day
The ceremony and group work combined lasted about two and a half hours!
In addition to the job offer ceremony, there was also time for interaction between the new hires and with current employees.
① 14:00-14:05 Opening remarks
② 14:05-14:15 Greetings from the CEO
③ 14:15-14:20 Presentation of letters of acceptance

Opening remarks

I was in charge of hosting the event again this year!
This is my third time emceeing a job offer ceremony.
Although I've gotten a little more used to it with each passing year, I still feel a sense of responsibility on such a significant day.
The ceremony began with opening remarks.
Additionally, Director Morita and Beyond GTA Inc. CEO Sato were participating from Canada, so we introduced them to the prospective employees.
Message from the CEO
Our CEO, Haraoka, gave a speech to the prospective employees.
He encouraged them to make the most of the time before joining Beyond and expressed his excitement for working together with them.

Award of job offer
Each of the prospective employees was called by name, and their certificates of employment were presented to them by our representative, Haraoka.
Although they seemed a little nervous, everyone received their certificates with confidence.

Greetings from new recruits
Following the presentation of the letters of acceptance, the prospective employees introduced themselves.
This time, they used Beyond's proprietary service, "illuminAI," to create images that represent themselves, resulting in a series of unique and individual self-introductions!
It was a great opportunity to learn about each of their hobbies and interests, and to get a sense of the personalities of the prospective employees

Closing remarks
After the greetings from the prospective employees, the closing remarks followed.
Finally, Director Morita delivered a message to the prospective employees.
As he was participating from Canada, we connected with him online, and he delivered a message to the prospective employees who will be working with him in the future, encouraging them to join the company

Workshop
After the job offer ceremony, we divided into five teams, each consisting of prospective employees and current employees, for a workshop!
This workshop, held every year, is planned and run primarily by new graduates with the aim of letting prospective employees get to know the employees and the company atmosphere, and to deepen their interactions even before they officially join the company.

Let's start with "finding common ground"!
Team members will talk amongst themselves and try to find things they have in common.
And the main theme of this event was "Where should we put our new office?"
The theme was "If Beyond were to create a new office, where would be the best place?" and each team was asked to freely come up with ideas.
Each team shared unique ideas, making it a fun and engaging time for interaction.

After each team's presentation, the managers provided feedback.
Based on each team's presentation, we provided feedback and finally decided on the winning team!
It was a jam-packed workshop with a variety of ideas coming from each team.

At the end, we took a group photo
Beyond's social gathering
After the job offer ceremony, we moved to another location for a social gathering.
We rotated the seats of the prospective employees every 20 minutes to allow as many employees as possible to talk with the prospective employees.
We talked about work, of course, but also about our hobbies and personal lives, which was a different topic from the workshop, and the atmosphere was friendly and relaxed throughout!

What made me especially happy was that all the prospective employees joined us for the after-party.
It was a long day, from the job offer ceremony to the get-together, but we were able to spend a fun time together until the very end.

After joining the company, a variety of experiences await you in a new environment.
I hope that your time at Beyond will be fruitful.
The entire Beyond team is looking forward to seeing you all again in the spring!
