[40th Kansai Public Relations 100 Study Group] Stories of public relations failures generously shared
This is Kai Fujisawa from public relations.
2018 is almost over.
Meanwhile, on December 17, 2018, I carried out the most public relations activity of the year
That's it!
This was my first time participating in the "Kansai Public Relations 100 Study Group" And as a secretary! !
What is Kansai Public Relations 100 Study Group?
The Kansai Public Relations 100 Study Group, which will be held for the 40th time in December 2018, is a study group comprised of public relations representatives from Kansai companies and organizations.
Once a month, we hold case study presentations and invite members of the media to deepen our learning and build networks.
Since 2015, we have been holding study groups on various themes with member companies taking turns as secretaries, with the aim of having 100 companies and 100 media participants and holding 100 times.
The December study group was held with the theme of ``Looking back on 2018 ~ Year-end short presentation competition!!~'', and I participated as the organizer!

Location of December study session
The venue is Yahoo Japan Corporation's Osaka Grand Front Office!
Being on the 37th floor, the top floor, the view was stunningly beautiful! !
I want to work in an office like this. And I want to be absentminded forever.
Study group started
The study group has started with public relations representatives from various companies!
This time's moderator was Mr. Mori, who works as a freelancer and provides PR support for startups, individual businesses, and small and medium-sized businesses mainly in Osaka and Kyoto.
Purpose of the study group
First, Mr. Nishiyama, representative of the Kansai Public Relations 100 Study Group, explained the purpose of the Kansai Public Relations 100 Study Group.
Short presentation competition
Next is the LT tournament with 6 secretaries!
The theme is "Growth as a public relations officer this year," so even if you're in the company, you'll be able to hear about the successes and failures of public relations activities conducted this year, how they were able to grow, and how they will proceed in the future. I was able to hear some valuable stories that I would never have otherwise heard.
I also talked about ``a few success stories and a lot of failure stories from the past year'' from among the few PR topics!
▲The top batter is Mr. Kono from Rokkosan Kanko Co., Ltd.
At Mt. Rokko, you can not only enjoy nature, but also various art works are exhibited, and you can experience art in the 10 million dollar night view!
▲ Mr. Abridge Sawamizu Co.,
We are a company that focuses on IT/IOT development. The video explains the difference between VR (virtual reality) and AR (augmented reality), and I see! I learned a lot.
▲ Mr. Nakajima of Yahoo! Co., Ltd.
Yahoo, which rented the venue for this event, has also opened an office in the Osaka Fukoku Seimei Building, and employees are free to come to work in either office every day! I'm jealous.
▲ Mr. Hayashi from Sakura Internet Co., Ltd.
We were introduced to ``Canva,'' which helps with ``image creation,'' which is essential for public relations activities. I also often use it as an eye-catching image on my blog!
▲ Fujisawa Co., Ltd.
It was my first experience speaking in front of public relations people...!
I received a lot of comments from people saying, ``I empathize with you!'' in response to various failure stories, which really helped my heart (lol)
Please read this article for more information on LT content.

Milife Nishiyama , the representative of the Kansai Public Relations 100 Study Group.
They talked about the results of this year's Kansai Public Relations 100 activities. As I listened to the achievements that were featured in the media, I realized that I had to try my best too... I felt it again.
Media guest introduction
Kimihiro Kimura, a composition writer who works on TV and radio projects, come from Tokyo!
Mr. Kimura, who handles a variety of information such as news reports and quiz shows, asked about ``What kind of information does the media want to cover?''
``Currently, there are trending topics such as ``flat-rate services,'' but the most important thing is ``public relations with love,'' and I would like to focus on that kind of thing.'' Ta.
This story really touched my heart as I don't have much knowledge about IT infrastructure.
If you don't love your company's service, there's no way you can promote it!
I realized that if you have the feeling that ``I want people to know more about you,'' you don't have to worry about ``I don't know what kind of public relations activities to do.''
So I have to have more Beyond love...!
I was deeply grateful that I was able to hear about this story during my first year in public relations.
Social gathering
At the social gathering, we talked about a lot of things that only PR people can talk about, and things that people wouldn't normally relate to within the company, and I was inspired in a way I had never been before.
Above all, everyone has great communication skills!
And since Christmas was coming soon, presents were also distributed to all participants! !
Presents were brought in by the companies that participated in this event, and the prizes were given to those who had the most correct answers on the True/False quiz.
▲ Mr. Sawamizu from Abridge explains the rules of the quiz competition. I was very impressed by how they improvised and came up with the content of the quiz about the company.
summary
As a public relations member for Kansai, we need to work with a broader perspective! It was an exciting study session that changed my way of thinking about public relations.
I would like to talk more with public relations people!
So I go out more.
In order to aim for ``loving public relations'', I would like to first have a deep love for our company's services...!
