Spreading the charm of belly button salons
Please tell us the concept of the store.
They mainly use ingredients from Tokushima Prefecture, the
``crossroads of food in Shikoku'' In addition to Miyoshi City, we also offer dishes and alcoholic beverages that mainly use ingredients from the four other prefectures of Shikoku.
We also carry
craft beer from Kamiyama and Kamikatsu in Tokushima Prefecture, as well When it comes to shochu, I recommend Naruto Kintoki from Tokushima Prefecture.
The interior is stylish, but could you please tell me the key points?
Since we are renovating a former sushi restaurant, we are making use of the original counter and chairs and reusing them.
In addition, the chairs used on JR Shikoku Railway are also reused, creating a relaxing space.
Recently, we have added more electrical outlets to make it easier to use computers during cafe time, so
I would be happy if this type of use increases in the future.
Is there anything you value when running a belly button salon?
I don't think it's interesting if it's always the same,
so the menu, the merchandise sold at the store, and the layout of the interior are always changing, so
every time I come into the store, I find myself saying, ``Something has changed,'' or ``It's new.'' I'm trying to get it.
In addition to the fixed grand menu, we also have a recommended menu, which changes every two weeks.
In addition, we are currently working on seasonal menus such as hot pot dishes so that you can enjoy them.
We want you to enjoy cafe time even more,
so we are planning to start offering mini parfaits that are unique to Heso Salon during cafe time, so please look forward to it.
Anyway, I'm always trying new things.
Today, we changed the layout of the store!
What is your recommended dish?
After all, it's Iya's "Gibier"!
The most recommended gibier is "Gapao rice"!
Heso Salon's Gapao Rice recently won the ``Awaji Miei'' Cooking Recipe Grand Prix Award.
I will go to the awards ceremony next month. This is the most popular menu item right now.
The recommended dish for dinner is Botan (boar) hotpot.
This hot pot is also made with wild boar caught in Iya, and
is filled with delicious Miyoshi foods, including fried Oboke from Oboke and Handa somen noodles for the finishing touch.
The seasoning is made with miso, and the miso is my own homemade miso.
I started making miso because the people of Ikeminami were making miso and I was invited to make miso.
I make miso once a year, and will make it again next January.
It's already been 3 years since I started making miso. It feels like I've already started it before I knew it.
You often hold events, but what are some of the most popular ones?
This is a two-part feature: "Wine Night" in collaboration with NATAN and "Somen Night" in collaboration with Kitamuro!
For wine nights, NATAN chooses wines that go well with the menu specially designed for the event.
The last Halloween, we had them prepare wine that reminded them of monsters, so
they could enjoy the season.
Every time, we think about the concept and come up with a way to make it more enjoyable.
Last time we had somen night, we served Awaodori chicken tempura somen and it was a huge success.
We offer special creative somen noodles that can only be eaten on the day of the monthly event.
Both events are popular and are held once a month.
This is an event that we would like to continue in the future.
Is there anything you would like to do from now on?
I want to do more and more events.
Right now, our main event is at night, so I'd like to do a fun daytime event.
Whether it's food or people, we're planning to hold events that you won't be able to experience while living in Miyoshi City, regardless of category.
For example, you might invite a photographer and listen to their story...
You don't usually get a chance to talk to someone who is a photographer.
I would like to hold events that create new connections like this.
I want to go to a belly button salon! Please leave a message for those who are interested.
Some people say it's difficult to get into, but please feel free to stop by.
It feels like home and I'm doing it in a carefree way.
They don't just eat, they come over for tea and snacks.
Please feel free to talk to me. I wish I could have a fun chat with my customers. That's what I think.
Miyoshi♡
in one word! A city where you can enjoy everything.
It's a town where you can do anything you want to do, like this or that.
Even if you want to hold an event, you may not be able to rent a place in the city, but
in Miyoshi, there are many places you can rent and people will cooperate with you.
Also, since it's located in Shikoku, it's easy to go to other prefectures.
It's fun to be in Miyoshi. It's fun to go outside. That is Miyoshi City.
Sharing the charm of belly button salons from Persian cats
For the first part of our project to push Miyoshi, we spoke to Kento Nishizaki of Heso Salon.
Mr. Nishizaki runs the restaurant Heso Salon and is enlivening Miyoshi City through the connections between food and people.
Listening to his story, I rediscovered the greatness of Miyoshi City, and it was an inspiration for me as well.
By the way, there is also ``Shika Ramen'' available only at night if you are lucky.
Originally, I didn't like wild game because of its smell, but since
it's light, low in calories, and has no smell at all, I'd recommend this ramen to women as well!
Of course, I ordered a second helping of the Persian cat that I often eat, but my
favorite Persian cat dish is Nishizaki-san's highly recommended ``gapao rice''!
This also doesn't have any odor or characteristic peculiar to wild game!
Besides, I want to eat delicious curry that fills me up! For those who say, “Kan Meshi” is recommended!
If you like spicy food, you can also request extra spiciness.
Persian cats are so hot and spicy that I can't get enough of them when I get them 3 extra spiciness~♡
Recently, I've been addicted to "Kan Meshi" and I often go there to eat them! Thank you for the meal!
We also have Miyoshi T-shirts that are not officially approved by Miyoshi City! It's a premium item!
How about making this a great souvenir? (`・ω・´)
It's located just a short walk from JR Awa-Ikeda Station, so please stop by!
Thank you, Mr. Nishizaki, for taking the time out of your busy schedule to agree to the interview.
