Hello!
I'm Inoue, a Persian cat from Beyond Co., Ltd.'s Shikoku office.

This is the second installment of a blog where a Persian cat simply shares the charms of shops in Miyoshi City!
This time, we'll be introducing "Rokudenashi," one of the few bars in Ikeda Town.
who want to casually drop in to Miyoshi and
"want to drink until the early hours of the morning! I just want to drink!" (lol)

Spreading the charm of good-for-nothing

What inspired you to open Rokudenashi
? The reason I decided to open it was by chance
I had no intention of opening a bar in Miyoshi, and had always wanted to try it in Tokyo or Osaka.
I wanted to utilize the customer service skills I'd developed at my previous hotel job and improve my skills in Tokyo or Osaka.
After improving my skills, I returned to Miyoshi and vaguely considered starting a business.
Then, by chance, someone approached me about opening a restaurant. Feeling that this was my chance, I immediately replied
, "Yes, I'll do it!" and opened Rokudenashi.
So, Rokudenashi was a coincidence, a result of a series of connections.

What kind of restaurant is Rokudenashi?
I've always been conscious of wanting it to be a place where young people gather.
When I first started, I had no knowledge of alcohol, no training, and it was all new to me. I
started the restaurant by researching how alcohol is made on Google and learning from customers.
While serving delicious drinks is important, we
're also focusing on creating a comfortable space where young people can gather, have fun, and drink until late.
Were there any challenges in opening Rokudenashi? The
offer to open a bar came suddenly, so while I was still working at my previous hotel job,
I enlisted the help of friends and spent nights preparing.
I originally had a glamorous image of it, but it's actually not that glamorous.
When we first opened, I was taking stomach medicine every day.
What do you value in running Rokudenashi?
I work hard every day, hoping to make it a place where young people can gather, no matter the era.
In fact, we have many young customers, and they love our bar.

The most important thing is to keep this bar open
so that young people can continue to gather here, even for the next generation and the next. Our customers range in age, but I think having young people enjoy our bar can energize older people, too.
However, there aren't many places around here where you can casually drink at a reasonable price, so
I want to reduce the number of young people who feel that way and don't go out drinking.
What drinks do you recommend?
A classic favorite is the highball
My specialty is using fresh lime!

My recommended drink is tequila
. I believe tequila is a must-have for any lively drinking party. (laughs)

We also carry some unusual drinks! We have
the Mitsumata Charcoal Draft Beer, made with Mitsumata, a relatively unknown but actively produced variety in Tokushima Prefecture.
It's truly a "Yukichi Beer." I highly recommend giving it a try.

We also carry other delicious Tokushima drinks,
such as Sudachi Sake and Miyoshi
local sakes, Ima Komachi, Hosui, and Miyoshi Kiku. All of Tokushima's sakes are easy to drink, so
I think they'll be enjoyed by locals and tourists alike.

What do you want to do in the future? We
'll continue to hold events, as we have done in the past.
One new thing I'd like to do is turn our bar into a place for human resource development.
I believe communication skills are extremely important when entering society,
and I want to use working in the service industry and at a bar as a training ground to hone my communication skills. I want

to create an environment where
people can step up and develop the skills they need to listen carefully and express themselves through conversation A message for those interested in visiting Rokudenashi:
While the name of the bar is "Rokudenashi," it's not a "Rokudenashi" bar!
While some say the bar is intimidating, we have a friendly atmosphere, so please feel free to stop by.
Even solo visitors and first-timers are welcome.

Miyoshi♡
in one word: "Possibilities."
While many people cite the declining population and rural location as reasons for its
popularity, I feel that more and more people are stepping up to revitalize Miyoshi. I
also feel that the local government is becoming more supportive.
When someone raises their hand, there are always others who agree and cooperate, and Miyoshi is a place
where we can unite as one.
Even for someone like me, it's been three years since I started the bar. Honestly, I thought it would fail.
There are many things that "Miyoshi doesn't have," but if there isn't, you can just make it.
I have many people around me who are willing to help me make what doesn't exist.
I think the town has a lot of potential, with more tourists and immigrants expected to come.

Persian cats also spread the charm of sleazy people

For the second installment of our Miyoshi-focused project, we spoke with Yokogawa, a long-time friend of mine.
Yokogawa runs BAR Rokudenashi and is actively involved in Miyoshi City events.
If we were to talk about the sheer size of Miyoshi, it would have to be Yokogawa or a Persian cat! (lol)
If we were to talk about Miyoshi, we could talk until the early hours!
BAR Rokudenashi is a bar where you can enjoy conversation while enjoying a drink.
Yokogawa is friendly and passionate.
While you're drinking, be sure to ask Yokogawa about the good things about Miyoshi City.
Be careful, though, because he'll talk a lot about his dreams. (゚Д゚)

Rokudenashi also offers karaoke. If
you're looking to get pleasantly drunk and sing your beautiful voice, give Rokudenashi a try!

By the way, the drink I always drink when I go to Rokudenashi is "Sudachi Sake," a local sake from Tokushima Prefecture.
I like to drink it on the rocks with just one ice cube. They
also have a wide selection of soft drinks, so even those who can't drink alcohol can enjoy it.
Persian cats tend to get bloated from drinking too much sake, so a secret trick is to quietly drink tomato juice as a chaser.
I recommend having tomato juice in between drinks, as it helps to reduce the smell of alcohol and swelling the next day!

If you get hungry after drinking until the morning, they have instant noodles ready for you to finish off your meal!
Another great thing is that you can bring your own food.

If you go to Rokudenashi, be sure to open the lid of this cute "Minion"! (・´з`・)

Thank you to Mr. Yokogawa for taking the time out of your busy schedule to participate in this interview

Growing every day, progressing every day.
I have to update myself every day!!!
Thank you for reading to the end.
