After reading this article, you will understand what coaching is like
Coaching is highly recommended
To start with the conclusion,
Coaching is highly recommended
Until now, I've always thought, "No matter what, I know myself better than anyone else."
But after receiving coaching,
I was shocked to realize how little I understood myself
In other words, for many people, there are limits to self-contained self-analysis and self-understanding .
That's why I strongly believe that coaching the most powerful method of self-understanding for many people
In fact, after receiving coaching, I clarify what I really wanted to do, and I became much more motivated in my work at the company and in other areas as well
seem to be experiencing the benefits of coaching , as follows
Today I received coaching from Jun @Roroworks . This time, he used business coaching techniques, and I was able to clarify my goals and what I need to do, which has really motivated me.
I get lazy easily, so I need someone to kick my butt in the butt, so I'm really grateful in that respect too

What is coaching?

Coaching is a technique that uses various psychological techniques to give people an opportunity to ``awaken'' something
Some people might think, "Wait, does this mean I'll be given a big lecture...?" when they hear the word "coaching,"
One of the major characteristics of coaching the coach never gives advice
spontaneous awareness , so the coach does not intentionally guide people's thinking with his or her subjective opinions.
In this way, the coach does not give advice, but supports people in organizing their thoughts by listening and asking questions

Jun's visual is like this

You have amazing ears
In the context, I think it probably expresses the personality of someone who "listens attentively."
My first impression was, "Maybe he's good at magic tricks or something?"
Jun's profile is here
Originally from Shimada City, Shizuoka Prefecture,
he grew up constantly thinking about "what people are thinking." He attended university in Canada and spent 17 years in the games industry, putting his English skills to good use. After negotiating soccer and film licenses in Europe and the United States, he became a smartphone game producer. He pursues the kind of fun that resonates with people through a psychological approach, and has worked on hit titles such as POP, Tsum Tsum, and Wind Runner at LINE.He later led the Japanese branches of some of the world's top gaming companies, including Wooga, King, and Supercell. While consulting for entertainment companies, he continued to study coaching and psychology in order to pursue his life's theme of "pursuing psychology," and began working as a professional coach in 2020. He already coaches over 60 people every month. He specializes in "what to do to become happy," "reducing stress and depression," and "improving relationships."

For those who are wondering, "What is coaching?"
What do you talk about in coaching?

In conclusion, coaching can address any topic.
Anything related to the human heart is OK , from work love and relationship worries
will never disclose anything discussed during coaching to anyone other than himself
So it's okay to badmouth your boss.
In this way, it is because you have the psychological safety that nothing will be revealed to you your true self to your coach, and in the process, you can gain new insights.
I actually received coaching
The coaching process is as follows:
First from the coach,
"Has anything good happened recently?"
"Are you worried right now?"
"Do you have any goals you want to achieve?"
Such vague questions are asked.
As I answer that,
So, which goal do you think is more important to you?
"You were going to die tomorrow. What would you choose to do?"
In this way, you can ask more and more in-depth questions
By answering questions like this, your thoughts will become more organized, and you will eventually begin to see what you value and your core values
Jun, you're really good at asking this question...
I'm shy and not very good at talking about myself,
the person I was talking to was a professional listener who how to keep secrets , I thought it would be impossible to tell everything about myself to someone I'd only met for three seconds 10 minutes after meeting him , I was telling Jun things I'd never even told my best friend. (He really does have some impressive listening skills.)
It's not like I have anything particularly secretive to hide, but in everyday conversations, even with close friends, I , "It would be a bother if I talked about something like that (complaining)..." so I'm sure the reason I can talk so openly about it is because of Jun's excellent listening skills.
I feel like I can tell Jun anything I want,
"Hmm, maybe Jun and I have become really good friends?"
So I asked Jun out to dinner, but he politely declined.
I don't think there are any more unreliable words than "We will consider it positively " and "Let's go out for drinks again!" used by working adults
Various coaching techniques beyond just listening

Coaching not only helps you organize your thoughts through in-depth questioning by the coach, but also sometimes psychological techniques to help you become aware of your true feelings.
In my case, Jun-san told me to stand up from my chair, so I tried standing up,
"From now on, you are another you. If you were to say something to yourself sitting in that chair right now, what would it be?"
I received questions like these
You wouldn't come up with this way of organizing your thoughts on your own
Another question is , "From now on, you are the person you respect the most. What do you think that person would say to you?"
There was a way to ask questions like this
This kind of perspective is important, isn't it?
Another time, Jun-san told me, "Please squat down now."
"Huh?" but when I squatted down as instructed,
"Now you are a cat . What would the cat say to you?"
I've even been told that
I'm very sorry, but at this time
"Why a cat ?"
I was so worried about this that I couldn't concentrate on coaching very well.
Maybe I should have said something like, "I think you're being too selfish right now."
Coaching is a mental detox

Although it may differ from person to person, because coaching allows you to talk about anything, you may be able to see the dark side of yourself (negative emotions) that you normally keep hidden
I have come to realize that by facing my dark side head on rather than leaving it hidden, I am gradually able to declutter my thoughts (and my negative emotions disappear)
When your mind is purified through coaching, you feel much lighter
Through coaching, I came to the painful realization that my mind was more cluttered than I had thought
Coaching Tips
These are the benefits of coaching that I have personally experienced, but there are also a few things to keep in mind
Coaching Tips: 1. Don't lie during coaching
of coaching is to help you organize your thoughts and become aware of your true feelings if you lie during coaching, you may not get the results you want
Coaching Tips #2: You need a certain amount of willpower
The great thing about coaching is that it helps you organize your thoughts, but it's not very effective if you receive it when you have no idea what you want to do in the future. I actually received coaching once when I was in that state of mind, but at that time I didn't get the same great realizations and refreshing feeling that I usually get from having a clear head. After all, your own will is important.
thank you!!!

Coaching Tip 3: Be careful not to become too coaching-minded
I don't know if this happens to everyone, but I'm the type of person who is easily influenced , so after my first coaching session, I became completely hooked and for about a week, when I was talking to people them into mood .
Coaching is great because it is done by professionals in the appropriate setting, but annoying when amateurs use it in everyday conversation .
"He always coaches me..." people start to dislike him, and he stops being invited to group dates.
the younger people in my company don't call me "Uncle Coaching"
How is coaching going?
What always impresses me is how much fun Jun seems to have listening to me during coaching sessions
However, sometimes they respond with something like, "Hmm?"
It seems that when Jun realizes my true feelings during coaching, he is happy for me, but when he doesn't, he just responds with something like "Hmm?"
So one day, I asked him, "How do you always know if I've realized my true feelings?"
When I asked him,
"Well, humans are really honest after all. Ah! Look! Like that gesture just now..."
He told me a lot of things, but I felt like if I listened any further I would be a little reluctant to receive coaching again , so I quietly stopped listening halfway through. I'm sorry, even though you took the time to answer my questions.
However, this gives us a glimpse into the fact that Jun has high coaching skills
