Recently, I wanted to overturn that idea and proposed within the company the establishment of a club activity system.

I was appointed to the 5th Organizational Culture Committee, so I devised a club activity system.

The reason why I am mentioning this at the beginning of this blog is that I have recently been appointed as the chairperson of the ``Organizational Culture Committee,''

Therefore, we have devised the ``club activity system.'' , I will tell you about the background of proposing the club activity system and the contents of the system

What is the Organizational Culture Committee?

The Organizational Culture Committee (commonly known as "Sosibun") is an in-house committee that plans and implements events and systems to encourage interaction among company members across departments and generations

Goal for this term: I want to create opportunities for strong interpersonal relationships

I'm such a shy person, but I've been thinking about ways to build better interpersonal relationships

I feel that everyone at Beyond is pretty good friends at this point, but we are aiming for even greater heights from here.

Therefore, in order to aim for even greater heights, I felt that it was necessary to build strong human relationships .

To be more specific, does everyone have a friend within the company that they can easily talk to about anything

Of course I think it's important to have a wide range of human relationships, but I have come to realize that deep human relationships, even if narrow, are what provide emotional support enrich lives I am.

Also, while it may be natural for people with an extroverted personality to have someone in the company they are close enough to to hang out with on their days off Masu.

Therefore, this term, although we will not force anyone to join us, we hope to create opportunities for people to get along with each other within the company, with a sense of distance that each person feels comfortable with

In addition, creating opportunities for small talk has already been established by Sosibun, and we plan to continue this in this term, but this term we hope to be able to approach organizational revitalization from a different perspective. I'm thinking.

Why club activities? Advantages of having extracurricular activities within the company

That's when I got an idea: ``Why not try having some extracurricular activities within the company?''

people with common hobbies naturally , work hard on something together, and make time to have fun .

To summarize in bullet points, I believe club activities have the following effects.

• We naturally find time to meet outside of the office.

If you meet outside of the office, the conversation will naturally be unrelated to work, and you'll likely have more opportunities to become friends.

also believe that sharing the experience of working hard, not just having fun, This is because the experience of helping each other towards a goal, such as a competition or tournament, and feeling happy or sad about the results, is an event that greatly moves people's hearts, but the bonds between people who spend such time together are naturally formed. For the above reasons, we have decided to propose a club activity system for this year's Sosibun.

With the above background in mind, we proposed a club activity system to this year's Sosibun members and representative Haraoka, and they readily agreed, saying, ``Why not give it a try?''

I would like to briefly introduce the outline of the extracurricular activity system below, as I once again feel grateful for the openness of this company, which allows me to adopt new systems with a "let's try it out" spirit

Overview of club activity system

• Members of the company with common hobbies gather together and engage in activities on holidays, etc.
• During activities, expenses can be settled within the specified upper limit.
• The purpose is to deepen friendships by sharing serious and absorbing experiences.

Conditions for establishment of club activities

• There are 3 or more people who wish to join.
• Have a clear activity goal (not just having fun, but having a sense of purpose)

 

As mentioned above, club activities that have been approved by Representative Haraoka and the Organizational Culture Committee can be reimbursed for activity subsidies on an individual basis up to once a month

If there were subsidies from companies like this, it might be easier for more people to say, ``Let's give it a try!''

I would like to introduce some club activities that have been established.

Several club activities have already been established at Beyond, so we will introduce them below.

①Sauna section

Number of members: 12 people

This is the club activity that director Morita recruited during the closing hours, and it became the fastest and most powerful club activity.

At first glance, a club activity that didn't look like a club activity was suddenly born.

However, Morita is extremely passionate about saunas.

If you think about it in terms of passion, you might be doing more club activities than any other (?)

By the way, I also belong to this group because I love saunas.

②Bedrock bath

Number of members: 4 people

This club activity was born as a successor to the sauna club.

The bedrock bath is not as stoic as the sauna, and is filled with people who want to work up a sweat in a gentle manner

(According to the manager, he didn't start it up to compete with the sauna club. lol)

Another feature of the bedrock bath club is that women also belong to it. (Although women are welcome in the sauna club...)

This is another club activity that doesn't look like a club activity (circle-like?), but when we applied, we thought of goals that were typical of a club activity, and the application was successfully approved.

In any case, from the perspective of the person who created the system, I am very happy that the department was established.

③Board game club

Number of members: 10 people

This is a club activity where you can fully enjoy the content of games, which are closely related to Beyond's business.

This club activity, which was started by an employee who loves board games, is very popular, with many employees who were not familiar with board games saying that it is interesting

④ Extra bias: Mountain climbing club (failed)

Representative Haraoka and the System Solutions Department manager were trying to start a mountain climbing club , but due to a lack of members, it is currently not recognized as a club activity. (At the time of establishment, we need 3 people who wish to join)

I am very grateful that I have been asked to do this, but I politely declined as I am afraid of the insects that may be found in the mountains .

It would be great if someone who loves mountain climbing joins the company someday.

⑤Music club (scheduled to be established)

This is a club activity that I am planning to start.

For some reason, Beyond has a lot of people with experience playing musical instruments, so I have a feeling it's going to be quite exciting.

I'm thinking that it would be fun if this club could be in charge of entertaining at company parties and producing company songs.

With extracurricular activities, even working adults can enjoy their youth!

I've talked a lot about club activities, but in the end, I want to enjoy the experience of "youth" that can only be had during my teenage years as a member of society! The main purpose is to make the old man's struggle come true.

First of all, what exactly is youth? That said, I think of youth as ` `those days were good... and memories that I regret to leave behind.''

Compared to student life, working life tends to be viewed negatively, but if you are blessed with good relationships while immersing yourself in work and hobbies, I think working adults can still be fully youthful!

I'm a little embarrassed to say this out loud on a blog, but the Organizational Culture Committee and I will continue to work through trial and error so that as many people as possible can have more positive time through club activities. .
