Hello.
This is Goto from the Web Services Division. We've had three consecutive months where our expenses than our income , I'm starting to feel like my life is in danger
I had prided myself on being able to save money safely, but I wonder where I went wrong
However, perhaps for now, even if I do something so reckless, it won't cause any trouble to anyone
Now, when the phrase "only now," many people probably think of "youth
Youth is generally thought of as something that is limited to the teenage years and is perceived as a symbol of transience, but
I wanted to change that way of thinking, so I proposed within the company that we start a club activity system
That's the story for today
I was appointed to the 5th Organizational Culture Committee, so I came up with a club activity system
As for why I am talking about this at the beginning of this blog, it is because I have recently been appointed as the chairman of the Organizational Culture Committee,
Therefore, we have come up with a new in-house system: the "Club Activities System." we will explain the background to the proposal for the club activities system and the details of the system
First of all, you might be wondering, "What is an organizational culture committee?"
We will explain this below
What is the Organizational Culture Committee?

The Organizational Culture Committee (commonly known as "Socibun") is an internal committee that plans and implements events and programs to promote interaction among internal members across departments and generations
Roughly speaking, the ones who liven up the organization .
The Organizational Culture Committee has contributed to revitalizing the organization the "Leader Lunch System," which the "Beyond Encyclopedia," allows employees to view introductions to internal members at any time on a dedicated website .
By the way, when I was a student, I used to spend my time quietly in the corner I like to sit quietly in the corner to the girls "I didn't say anything today," so I don't really understand why I've been given the mission of livening up the organization, but since I've been appointed, I'm trying my best every day to see if I can be of help.
Goal for this term: I want to create opportunities for strong relationships to develop

though I'm a shy person, I've been thinking about what measures I can take to build better relationships with others
I feel that even at this stage, everyone at Beyond gets along pretty well, but we're aiming to reach even greater heights from here
So, I felt that in order to reach even greater heights, it was necessary to build strong relationships .
To be more specific, is it a situation where everyone has friends within the company that they can talk to about anything freely
Of course, I think it's important to have a wide range of human relationships, but I also feel that it's deep (intense) relationships, even if they are small , that provide emotional support enrich life
Also, having someone in the office who you're close enough to hang out with on your days off may be common sense for people with extroverted personalities, I think there are some people for whom this isn't the case.
Therefore, this fiscal year, although we will not force anyone to do so, we hope to create opportunities for people to make friends within the company at a distance that they feel comfortable with
How do you build strong relationships?
How do deep human relationships
I personally don't mind spending time alone and have never intentionally made friends, so to be honest, I didn't know what to do at first
a loner at university . Looking back, I realized that was a waste.)
Is communication the key to becoming friends?
It's true that chatting a lot can help you become friends with a variety of people, so there's no doubt that chat-based communication is important
However, I feel that small talk often ends up being superficial personally don't get along well in small talk with a large group of people
Furthermore, Socibun has already been creating opportunities for casual conversation, and this will continue this term, but this term we hope to be able to approach organizational revitalization from a different perspective
Why club activities? The benefits of participating in club activities within the company

That's when I had an idea: "Why not try starting a club activity within the company?"
people with common hobbies will naturally , work hard at something together, and have time to have fun .
To summarize in bullet points, I believe that club activities have the following effects:
- People who share common interests gather together
- Non-work-based conversations emerge
- Time to meet outside of work naturally arises
- You can share time to enjoy and seriously pursue the things you love
⇛Become closer
I feel that all of the above are important elements in building strong relationships, but I believe to spend time meeting outside of work,
If you meet outside of work, the conversation will naturally turn to topics unrelated to work, which will likely increase the opportunities to become friends
also sharing the experience of working hard, rather than just having fun, is equally important for deepening relationships between people. This is because I think that experiences such as helping each other towards a goal, or feeling happy or sad about the results, are events that move people deeply, and I believe that the bonds between people who spend such time together naturally deepen.
For the reasons above, this term Socibun has decided to propose a club activity system
Get support from the company! Overview of the club activity system
Taking the above background into consideration, I proposed the "club activity system" to this season's members of Socibun and its representative, Haraoka, and they readily agreed, saying, "Why not give it a try?"
I am grateful for the openness of this company, which allows us to adopt new systems with a " let's try it first" attitude
Overview of the club activities system
- Members with common interests gather together within the company and engage in activities on holidays, etc
- Expenses can be reimbursed within the prescribed limits during activities
- The purpose is to share serious and engrossing experiences and deepen friendships
Conditions for establishing club activities
- There are three or more applicants
- There is a clear goal for the activity (not just having fun, but having a sense of purpose)
As mentioned above, club activities that have been approved by Representative Haraoka and the Organizational Culture Committee can claim activity subsidies on an individual basis up to once a month
With subsidies from companies like this, it may be easier for more people to say, "Let's give it a try!"
Here are some of the clubs that have been established:
Several club activities have already been established at Beyond, and we will introduce them below
①Sauna Club
Number of members: 12 people
Director Morita recruited members within a few hours of the year-end party, and this club activity quickly became the largest in popularity
Right from the start, a club activity that didn't seem like a club activity was born
However, Morita has an incredible passion for saunas
In terms of enthusiasm, I think I'm more involved in club activities than any other club activities (?)
By the way, I also love saunas, so I belong to it
Below is an article in which Morita talks passionately about saunas like a heat wave
②Ganbanyoku (rock sauna) section
Number of members: 4 people
This club activity was established as a follow-up to the sauna club
The bedrock bath club is not as stoic as the sauna, and attracts people who want to sweat in a gentle manner
(According to the club president, it wasn't started to compete with the sauna club.)
Another unique feature of the Ganbanyoku Club is that women also belong to it. (Though the sauna club also welcomes women...)
This is also not a typical club activity (more like a circle?), but when applying, we were asked to come up with club-like goals, and our establishment was successfully approved
In any case, as someone who created the system, I am very happy that they have established the club
I hope you will deepen your relationship through bedrock bathing
③Board Game Club
Number of members: 10 people
This is a club activity where students can fully enjoy gaming content, which is closely related to Beyond's business
This club was started by an employee who loves board games, and has become very popular, with many employees who knew nothing about board games saying how fun it is
I'm grateful for all the activities you've done
④ Extra: Mountain Climbing Club (not established)
The mountain climbing club was being planned to be established by the CEO, Haraoka, and the manager of the Systems Solutions Department , but due to a lack of members, it has not yet been recognized as a club activity (three applicants are required at the time of establishment).
I was very grateful to have been approached, but I politely declined because I was afraid of the insects that might be in the mountains
I hope that one day someone who loves mountain climbing will join our company
⑤Music Club (to be established)
This is a club activity that I am planning to start
For some reason, Beyond has a lot of members with experience playing instruments, so it looks like it's going to be a very exciting event
I'm thinking it would be fun if this club could take charge of entertainment at company parties and create a company song
Even working adults can enjoy their youth through club activities!
I've talked a lot about club activities, but ultimately, my main goal to make the desperate wish of an older man who wants to continue enjoying the "youth" experience that can only be had during one's teenage years, even after becoming a working adult, a reality.
First of all, what is youth? I think of youth as "memories that make you feel nostalgic and think, 'Those were the good old days.'"
Compared to student life, working life tends to be viewed negatively, but if you are blessed with good relationships while immersing yourself in your work and hobbies, I think you can still have a youthful time as a working adult!
It's a little embarrassing to say something like this out loud on a blog, but the Organizational Culture Committee will continue to experiment so that as many people as possible can increase their positive experiences through club activities
[Summary] The future of the club activity system
I have introduced this system in a casual manner, but I hope that in the future it will lead to the creation of club activities that take part in some kind of competition. If there is a goal such as winning a competition, club activities will become even more enthusiastic. There are still many challenges to overcome in order to establish such a club activity culture within the company
We only have about six months left in our term, and we would like to complete it by doing everything we can
By the way, if you are interested in Beyond, please take a look at our recruitment website !
Thank you for watching until the end!
