[Countermeasures against weak yen] Domestic public cloud

This is Ohara from the technical sales department.

Since early March 2022, the yen has been rapidly depreciating in Japan.
Recently, the yen has weakened to over 140 yen to the dollar, and the dollar has strengthened, surpassing the 150 yen range and is likely to remain this way for some time.
(Information as of November 2022)

This weak yen and strong dollar situation means that companies that use overseas cloud services such as AWS and GCP are also affected by the exchange rate, which in turn increases their monthly cloud service fees

Beyond also builds, operates, maintains, and monitors domestic cloud servers, which are not affected by exchange rates such as a weak yen and a strong dollar. Here we introduce some of the domestic public cloud services that Beyond handles

Sakura Internet

● Sakura Cloud

○ When used in conjunction with "Sakura VPS" and "Sakura Dedicated Server," you can enjoy both the flexibility of a virtual server and the machine performance of a physical server.
○ "Map view function" that lets you see how servers and switches are connected.
○ "Resource manager function" that lets you build and manage multiple infrastructure configurations.
○ "Sakura VPS" disks can be copied to "Sakura Cloud."
○ Server data transfer pay-per-use charges: None (cost calculations are easy as there is no pay-per-use charge based on data transfer volume)

IDC Frontier

IDCF Cloud Logo

Internet Initiative Japan

● IIJ GIO Infrastructure P2 Gen.2

. ○ VMware is used as the hypervisor for the virtual infrastructure, allowing you to carry over the design concepts and operational structure of your existing on-premises environment.
○ A VMware environment close to on-premises, yet flexible enough to be used with as little as 1vCPU/4GB memory. No need to manage infrastructure such as hypervisors
. ○ By linking with IIJ network services, such as connecting to WANs and public clouds, you can create a multi-cloud environment that includes the network.
○ Server data transfer: No pay-per-use charges (fixed charge based on the maximum bandwidth selected)

summary

Above, we have introduced the domestic cloud services that Beyond handles

If you are concerned about the monthly cloud usage fee due to recent exchange rate fluctuations, or if you do not have any overseas bases outside of Japan, why not consider introducing a domestic cloud service?
